Looking for more feedback from all. The OP gets updated after feedback and validation occurs. Thanks everyone!

I am perfectly fine with the RC1, thanks for your efforts and time put in this Laithan! I preffer not to flash biosses anymore unless is the last version, maybe. smile.gif cheers

Glad you got it figured out my friend. I am sure the cats and dogs heard some cussing that night smile.gif

It does makes sense actually. The power % value shown in monitoring apps tells you how much the card draws versus the default power value set in the BIOS.

From the pictures above, in the first one this default value is 316000 so when the monitoring app shows 137% it means the card draws about 433000.

In the second picture the default value is set at 431000, so it makes perfect sense it would barely ever go over 100% under the same conditions.

That's the way I understand it anyway. Not sure how accurate it is compared to real life power draw though. And it has nothing to do with TDP.

tongue.gif That's what I mean this is really NOT "TDP" at all. I'd love to hear NVIDIA's explanation for this. I wonder if AMD(ATI) GPUs measure the same way.

Understood and respected! smile.gif I thought RC1 would be the final but it is looking like RC2 will be after that minor tweak to allow additional power. Honestly I just plan to RENAME RC2 to "Final" without making any changes (except branding) so for those that don't want to wait for the word "Final", the RC2's posted are most likely going to be identical. cheers.gif right back at you tongue.gif

Here is a collection of all the RC2's.. It was kind of evil of me to make you hunt them down...

Although in a matter of time this post will be lost in forumpageland so do your homework peeps so we can get them on the front page tongue.gif

Hi everyone......
im new to this and just wanted to put in my two cents just to say i posted something instead of just watching on.
i edit the fan curve in my gtx970 fallout4 edition bios but did it a very straightforward way.
at 100% the fans runs at 4560rpm ... so i set it like this.....
from 40C to 90C, the rpm will gradually increase from 1824RPM to 4560RPM...
chart it like .....

30C = 1368RPM "30%"
40C = 1824RPM "40%"
50C = 2280RPM "50%"
60C = 2736RPM "60%"
75C = 3420RPM "75%"
90C = 4560RPM "100%" Fan speed

i was just joking around when i was doing this as it was my first time doing anything of this nature so im just sharing it with you to see what yall think

i only did the fan curve as im not brave enough to mess with my voltage or clocks yet... maybe soon.
but im willing to learn if anyone is willing to teach....

my lil desk by my bed... im lazy

my GTX970 just whispering to itself.... lol

if you wondering im using a egpu to connect the GTX970 to my laptop..... i use it as a desktop basically. ....meh.whistle.gif

Hey, thanks for joining and sharing your custom fan curve.

I never knew there was such a thing as an eGPU, holy cow! Don't spill that drink! wink.gif lol

PS. Your pics may have a bit TMI.

this is the eGPU that i use.... it bottlenecks cause it uses Mini PCI-E 1x instead of PCI-E 16x GPU cards normally use but the strength of the GTX970 itself is enough to play GTA5 and my favorite Skyrim modded to the hilt medieval.gif

do you mean the desktop of my kids and cousin or my uncle pills i hid from him??........ meh whistle.gif
i live too far from civilization to really care.... lol..... but thanks for the heads up tho thumb.gif

Just a note, not that it will change anything, but you should have Per11 not lower than Per01 .

So for your rpm values if there good, the perxx=% of max speed.
Per01=20% (assuming 20% is fine for starting point )
Per11=40%, per your 1824rpm
Per12=60% per your 2736rpm

Also don't forget you can change the TMP XX (temperature ) values, to alter fan curve profile shape too.
