All RC2 feedback is appreciated and welcomed (except troll-back tongue.gif)

Laithan I'm a long time 980Ti owner and I really appreciate your work and what you are doing and all the help you provide! You deserve much more! thumb.gif

I was merely asking because I'm trying to convince my self to keep this card at stock but I just can't fight the urge since the RC2/Possibly Final Xtreme bios look so promising!! biggrin.gif

Trying this on my GTX 980 G1 F42 version. Get +155 on core and +500 on mem with the stock bios with voltage and power limit maxxed.

Is REL 1.1 the latest version for my card?

Hi there. Yup those tweaks are final. The BIOS in the OP is F3 so since you have F42 you can't flash directly. You'll need to extract your BIOS with GPU-z, make a copy of it and open it up side by side with the BIOS in the OP. Copy ALL values from all pages 100% identical, triple check and you'll have yourself a compatible version smile.gif

Read up about DD vs DP of you are not already aware.

Any questions just ask! smile.gif

PS. + values in an O/C app don't mean anything and are not comparable. Each BIOS will have a different starting clock speed. You will need to identify the CORE and BOOST and compare those numbers directly. The MOD BIOS boosts to 1531Mhz as default wink.gif

FYI - This post describes the fan fields
http://www.overclock.net/t/1544574/gigabyte-gtx-9xx-g1-gaming-h2o-air-bios-tweaking/2800#post_24720164

wished i saw this post sooner but better late than never....cause i now understand the fan control fields, i was close but this cleared it up way better.
guess i will gota flash again tomorrow with my updated bios......... but so far things seem ok.... did a heaven benchmark thingy n heres a screenshot...
is this good???

i had to downclock by -60 from 1532 to 1472 to keep heaven from sticking/crashing in benchmark mode but the regular looping graphic was ok.
another thing i notice is in nvidia inspector the memory says 4001 but in GPU-Z it says 2001... half of what the memory should be..... is that normal or did i fuq something up???eek.gif
dont laugh too hard.... im still just a n00b nerdsmiley.png:

Yes this is perfectly normal. DDR is "Double data" rate and some people/apps go by the single and others go by the combined total.

Ofc, fan is 4-pin plugged into GPU and is controlled by GPU BIOS.

OK thanks for the info, that's interesting smile.gif I would have thought it came with a fan controller for a rad. I will edit the fan settings to stock because I don't know how loud that fan can be.
