GPU stability is so fickle.
After getting a little more input to my questions (thank you!), I decided to just run the max power and voltage allowed in the custom BIOS to achieve 1600 / 8000.
It has been stable for nine hours of Battlefront, the entire Crysis 3 campaign, five hours of Rocket League, and a few other games thrown in, including some Star Citizen and Elder Scrolls Online. ESO in particular has been fairly unforgiving to my past overclocks. I also survived countless runs of Firestrike and Unigine Heaven. Zero crashes.
But after all of that, Ashes of the Singularity is consistently crashing my card within 5 minutes of playing. Disabling the overclock fixes it. Looks like I'll have to settle for 1580-1590 or so. The OCD part of me is not pleased.
So basically, if you guys want to test stability, I'd suggest picking up Ashes. It seems far less forgiving than other, older applications.Edited by jrgray93 - 2/15/16 at 8:06am
