Hello

Its the x99 Deluxe U3.1.. but will not use that for long time.. Waiting the Rampage 10 Edition thumb.gif

Thanks I was looking at the Strix but it looks like it doesn't do Raid which I need , so I was looking at the X99-A II instead as the Deluxe II is a little pricey here.

For 1440p i would stay with 980ti until 1080ti.
For 4k i would stay with 980ti until 1080ti or even next big, don't know yet, will see.
I think my cooling is ok, but I don't know frown.gif
With a bit higher overclock it will crash in a random moments, not when card is loaded to 99% and not when it at high temp, so I'm a bit frustrated:o

I decided to save money for 1080 Ti, because 1080 for 700-800 euros sucks. And not so much gain in perfomance.

Are there a difference in FPS between 1500/8000 and 1455/7800?

And it's with better graffics, you'll see gpu temp increase there.

Bought it smile.gif

Thx!

Why I have so bad overclocking abilities on my G1 980 Ti? I'm stable at default clock for 1.0 Modded BIOS (1455 Mhz) and on ~7800 Mhz on Memory.
Everything above causes randomly crashes in games.
PSU - Seasonic X750. Average card temp while playing at 99% - 72-75 C.

Thanks!

Second question: Is it good to change my card to 1080 Extreme/Waterforce? Or it's better to wait 1080 Ti. I have 1440p 60 Ghz Display

You may unfortunately just have a bad overclocking GPU however methinks you just need better cooling biggrin.gif

And no, 45Mhz in GPU clocks isn't much.. not enough to change more than 1 or 2 fps maybe. You are still getting all the other MOD benefits and you won't be throttling either so at the end of the day your GPU is still very comfortably awesome thumb.gif

I just noticed there are already full cover water blocks for GTX 1080 Frowner's edition... frown.gif

This is pointless...

We've already seen how the Frowner's edition and the Gigabyte G1 (BOTH only have a single 8-pin PCI-e) perform IDENTICALLY. This shows that since Pascal runs cooler, improving cooling with the triple fan design did absolutely NOTHING.. Both designs produced literally identical performance.

Water cooling them is going to reduce temps.. yes... we can't MOD the BIOS yet so increased voltage and VRM load isn't even an option. POWER is the biggest restriction right now, PWR perfcaps everywhere...This water block isn't going to provide more power... Even the shunt solution (hard modification) is STILL capped at the max you can draw with a single 8-pin PCI-e....

I can't blame EK for selling the blocks.. cuz there's bozos that buy them. rolleyes.gif

When the 9 series come out how long did it take for bios to be modable? I'm wondering if Nvidia threw up some roadblocks to prevent it this time. They seem to be intentionally crippling the card with low power to prevent overclocking much over stock. With AMD bringing nothing to the table to compete for the next 8 months or so they have little reason to allow people to take these chips to the limit. If AMD does bring something they can release the Ti which hopefully won't be as hamstringed.

Sound like Pascal love AIO's... low temp at low cost.. lol tongue.gif

Is 980 ti G1 gaming good deal NOW for $519.99 from microcenter?

Saw this today, found the vBIOS on Tech Power Up for my MSI Gaming X and flashed it. Nice little clock boost without the need to overclock at all.
