Somebody? Do you know where i can get a Gigabyte 1080 Xtreme AIR bios?

Techpowerup bios database havent it yet, also Gigabytes homesite doesnt share it.

I think if i can get it somewhere i can flash that Xtreme 1080 bios to my G1 Gaming 1080 and see what happens to OC, maybe more OC "room"?

If somebody have already Xtreme 1080 AIR card, can you save it and upload here?

Why you make such mistakes? You have money to trow in the garbage or what...
Changing 980 ti G1 with 1080 (which is not good, bad quality card) when the titan is few months away.
I don't understand what you expect of this mid range card, maybe you will enlighten us after thumb.gif

BS, Titan P (GP100) comes 2017, but 1080Ti (GP102) maybe on late on this year.

I have still 980Ti @1500/8000 on the closet, it gives bench "X" 22k, and this my new G1 1080 gives "only" 23K+.
But when my Oculus arrives (ordered 2013) then Pascal (1080) is maybe on 30-50% faster.

Also my 980Ti is a hungry, approx 330W, 1080 only 220W = Less warm air to my room...

When 1080Ti is available, i buy it and sold this 1080...

Yeah, I have some money to throw, don't we all have?
Call one of the best (if not the very best) gp104 card garbage and / or bad quality to a 2050-2100 Mhz high efficient gpu & 8gb 10.8Ghz memory is not you're overreacting, it's simply ignorance.
You better have a look at the Vortez's 4K video review

Are you expecting the new Titan, cause I don't.
Are you?
Prepaired to spend the double of a 1080? I've just spent £600 but the prices won't remain that high, we'll talk about it later, when the Titan P will show off wink.gif

No thanks, i won't give money for cards i have other priorities and 980 ti is GPU for 3 years at lest until i see some real improvement, not just 5-10 % with some fake numbers like 2100.
Eventually there will be a lot of cards coming out just because people buy them and it will be hard from now on to figure out which one will be of good quality except if you wait enough time to pass after their release, which is what i am going to do.
What is really 2100 Mhz pascal (1080) compared to maxwell (980 ti)? That is all you have to answer yourself to see which one is better and more real. wink.gif
They have to work a lot harder to take this one money (me), i am seeing only sh its lately smile.gif

I've convinced Newegg to allow a refund instead of replacement. I've upgraded to an MSI Gaming 1070 8G (non-x)
My case is filled with Noctua and after this annoyance I decided it's worth it, I was looking for the 1070 with the quietest fans, which are usually going to be the biggest fans.
It's clear to me Gigabyte has dropped the ball, all plastic, 8-pins only on all but the Xtreme, no care for build quality, can't even ship their products with a proper BIOS.
They did this with the 970 G1 Gaming too, the fans needed a BIOS mod to go below 50% speed... doh.gif It's like they don't test their products.

Now I wish there was an MSI BIOS topic equivalent to this thread frown.gif
I'll be sticking with MSI until I'm aware of someone with a quieter cooling solution. I know Palit exists but not in NA unfortunately.
MSI actually has service centers in Canada which is nice for me, and from what I've heard are better with customer service than Asus and Gigabyte, only beaten by EVGA I believe.
With my bad luck as of late, customer service has become a lot more valuable to me.

Also the only differences between the MSI Gaming 8G, MSI Gaming X 8G, and MSI Gaming Z 8G is out of the box clock speed. Literally nothing else.
You do not get a better chance of hitting 2100mhz by paying $100 more or whatever it costs for the MSI Gaming Z 8G than the default 8G, lottery odds are the same.

Farewell!

You're saying you have other priorities however I find you always here tongue.gif
I should have other priorities as well, I also got infected with a common monkey disease, hope will pass rolleyes.gif
Right now I'm waiting for the new BF1, to play it with my 27" 2K 144hz and I really don't see the need for more than one 1080:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkYJVrkvIGk&feature=youtu.be

In order to get that with a single 980 ti I'd have to use some LN2 biggrin.gif
Or maybe you show me I'm wrong and they're just "fake numbers"

Yea frown.gif

I hope the MSI Gaming 8G was a good choice. It has 8+6pin which is equal to Gigabyte's best offerings with their Xtreme so now I have hope for future BIOS mod potential.
I don't know where I'm going to go for my BIOS this time around since I'm not in the Gigabyte club now laughingsmiley.gif

Hopefully Mr Dark is going to make a custom 1000 series BIOS thread when it becomes possible to mod. Seemed like that was the place to go if you had anything that wasn't a Gigabyte card.

What I like about this thread, it's a community effort with so many users contributing to the improvement of the BIOS. It really perfected them.
Maybe you should cash in on MSI and make an equivalent thread to this tongue.gif
