Who out there was curious how Pascal vs Maxwell running at the same boost speed would compare?

Look no further...

Yes i was saying this to other peeps on another forum but i kept on getting shot down ...

The reason for why i brought it up and you your self i suspect for the same reasons as it would then tell you if

1.did they improve the architecture ?

2.Is pascal just a die shrink of maxwell ...aka maxwell on speed...

3. is it a rip off smile.gif

However it would only really be a true test if the core count was the same

Personally i think with the same core count same speed they would be similar

don't get me started with Nvidia smile.gif

RANT ENABLED

My post on Nvidia forums have been hidden for speaking the truth talk about freedom of speech ...

I do not understand what nvidia are up too ...it just does not seem right to have a 10 series launch with doom on vulkan WHICH they where hyping this big time however the results where seeing here for nvidia is poor its not like they have not had enough time to get it right is it...They where even show casing it at the time which was what 2 months ago

I lost trust in nvidia as a company years ago re BUMPGATE caused me endless problems with customers laptops and some dedicated cards and more so with all the recent fiasco's ...

bump gate
ram gate
drive rgate
gimpworks gate
overpriced gate
gimp previous gens driver gate
rip off gsync gate
talk bull **** at conferences gate

and now

vulkan gate

All most forgot about the promised maxwell async driver ..

So the reason poor show from nvidia is most likely gimping practises in effect there worried to release too much performance on there older gens they must not do that give away free performance god no we must gimp ...so there holding it back tweaking there new driver until they can balance the performance across the gens ...so its exponential

just a thought

Amd on the other hand seem to do not care there you go have fun ....i am seeing cards older than 2011 getting 125% increase

and do not get me started about gsync vs freesync costs never mind the overpriced 10 series

It amazes me people still throw money at nvidia but they do yes i understand as they do have the better cards in terms of performance but as a company i dislike ...however i am one of these that buys i admit but its mainly either for customer builds and for testing purposes again for clients builds but where i can buy AMD i do.

AMD is far more trust worthy than NVIDIA ...yes all companies can not be trusted but AMD have my trust more than nvidia and will have my money once they release a card that's worthy
the 480 for the price are great and great for system builds.

RANT DISABLED tongue.gif

I feel much better now thx smile.gif

Think i need to start sessions with a tech therapist

You have to read a few posts but grab some popcorn and enjoy (the Intel version of yours)

Great rant and you are absolutely right:)

I use to love nvidia chip sets back in the day built alot of systems for clients and nvidia chipset for me was always my choice

they always felt more responsive in the OS and disk transfer rates where much better than AMD / INTEL at the time

For sure Intel are gimping there lanes for the very reason they do not make GPU's but know peeps pay top dollar for it

What a beast of a system that is very astounded by it in fact
i use to have a 790 amost other nvidia chipsets but it died and moved to an intel chip set at the time as i think nvidia was out of the chip set game then shame really as i would have loved to try this

What a great thread rant Laithan
who would have thought an nvidia chip set flexing its mussels like this....just go's to show how these tech companies to date are just herding us in with there drip feeding gimping techniques....

smile.gif

60 PCI-E Lanes
↑ Umm.. yeah... can't touch it..

369.69 driver is stable with high overclock, but now there is new driver 369.81, need to find out if it's stable and is there any point of it. They mention 980 ti in it too, lol.
I think they received and read my rant message for not supporting 980 ti and if they don't support it with drivers i won't buy nvidia gpu anymore biggrin.gif

I got band from nvidia forums with my rant at them i kept it clean too ...but i must have spoken too many truths ...they just can not handle the truth tongue.gif

The normal way? The integrated gpu is not used until selected in bios and using it's ports...
So me with 6700k and not using it is the same with 5930k without one.
