btw the current bios which is on atm starts from 1506 also.. so im unsure what the previous owner flashed it could well be one of your bioses?

think while I get the block and backplate might aswell watercool the ram while im at it lol been meaning to do it!

I would love.... 1600mhz game stable haha

Nope, I can tell it's not the MUMOD BIOS. 1506Mhz is ONLY obtained when both sliders (power% and voltage) are maxxed.

I am 1600Mhz game stable right now biggrin.gif

Uhmmm.

Basically I just snapped that 970WF3 bios and managed to get stable 1600MHz boost ingame, I suppose that's good.
But as far as mem OC goes, I just managed to get +50MHz.

Anything wrong here or is it fine?

Sorry, I'm not clear, did you mean the G1 BIOS? You flashed that to your WF3?

1600Mhz is outstanding and yes if you do not have SAMSUNG memory on the 970 there is a good chance it will not overclock well (sometimes even Samsung won't either but USUALLY will).

Oh, G1 Bios, w/e (typo happened).

I do have 2 970s (one is a G1 and the other one is a WF3, they're pretty much the same thing, just different cooler), but the WF3 one just drank some water and died (200% my fault, haven't tighened my fitting correctly and sprayed water all over the back of it).

My G1 has Samsung memory, but I think I managed to get a poop one and I can't get past 1800MHz on the mem.

Makes sense. Yup PCBs are 100% identical. I am sorry to hear that brother... oh wow.. bummer... everything happens for a reason and now you can get a 980Ti G1 or Xtreme fairly cheap used since many think Pascal was worth dropping Maxwell...

I can get another 970 with waterblock + backplate for half of the price of a 980Ti, and a third of a new 1080.
Brazil is kinda off with prices, so... Really thinking about SLI'ing those puppies up.

You're just unfortunately limited by VRAM unless you stick to 1080p... otherwise I would encourage the same but with the memory limitation (arguably only 3.5GB VRAM) it will potentially limit you with some existing and upcoming games.

+700Mhz which is 2103Mhz raw, 4206Mhz double pumped, 8412Mhz effective.

Hi guys, I'm searching for custom bios for my Gigabyte GTX 970 xtreme gaming. I didn't find it in the first page, so maybe it is the same used for the 970 g1 gaming.
Can someone help me? thanks smile.gif
