Some ports are not active at times, see above.

You MUST confirm if using DD or DP before flashing. I have detailed instructions in the OP for this.

Did you reboot after the Flash ?

Hopefully you flashed the DP to the DP and DD to DD bios ? look at the Official PDF with the Official Bios's at gigabyte , just don't use @vga to flash them....

KB

Agree.

If DD BIOS was flashed over DP, or DP BIOS was flashed over DD (BOTH ARE BAD!) it may brick the GPU. The good news is that it's easy to fix yourself although it can be challenging. I also have instructions for this in the OP.

If you have a iGPU in the system too you can perhaps hook a monitor to that and flash the bios to the 980 , otherwise you would need to Blind Flash the bios, Laithan may know more about that than me....as I think after 900 series (maybe earlier) NVFlash is not Dos compatible.

can you do this?

Did you try the other DVI port?

Did you realize that you must power OFF the computer BEFORE switching displays otherwise it will not change the active BIOS?

Since you did not provide details, I have to guess and assume. I guess I will assume you flashed the DP BIOS over the DD (that would produce a blank screen). As I mentioned, instructions are in the OP to fix this if you flashed the wrong BIOS but here is the link. http://www.overclock.net/t/1521334/official-nvflash-with-certificate-checks-bypassed-for-gtx-950-960-970-980-980ti-titan-x/410#post_24744357

If you did not flash DD yet but are TRYING TO, note that you do not need to flash BOTH the DD and the DP BIOS. You only need to flash the one that you use (based on your display options). If you USE both BIOS', then yes you would want to flash both. I only use the DP BIOS so my DD's are all sitting at STOCK.

Kbird is correct, Maxwell cannot be DOS flashed. No blind flashing.

If I understand the question, you are asking if the fan RPM can be increasd to 4200. The answer is that there is a good chance they can.

Did you need help?

It's marketing.. I can tell you that NVIDIA engineer's the product line to offer a lower price point... but they aren't going to easily allow it to be superior than the 1070. In this case it isn't about clock speed. The reduction of cores can really be a factor when all pascal cards are going to throttle anyway. Do you want throttling with more cores or less? smile.gif

Well there really isn't more than one BIOS for your GPU posted unless you're talking about AIR or H2O. Since you've identified that you have an F10 BIOS you can find the F10 Xtreme BIOS in the OP.

Any questions just let us know thumb.gif
