GIGABYTE GTX 9xx H2O/AIR BIOS Tweaking ┌(ô益ô)┐ - Page 734

Hmmm...yea its confusing.

I was curious and wanted to see how it works. I do not know if I have a need for that yet, I think this graphic still plays well without modification.

Can you explain to me what I am getting with this and does it destroys the graphics card?
Maybe it's better not to do anything with bios if there is no need, let it stay with these settings from MSI.

Agree, no offense but I don't think you are ready for BIOS mod'ing quite yet. The answers to your questions are in the OP. GL!

My Gigabyte GTX 980ti G1 Gaming broke and gigabyte replaced it on warrenty with a n98txtreme-6GD.

My problem is, that when i run boinc, the clockspeed is only 405 mhz. I checked with nvidia inspector, the bios has only two power states. (p0 and p8)
nvidia inspector can't overclock the P8 state and can't force the p0 state with multi state display saver.
The bios in this thread have all the wrong subvendor ID. The current bios ID has 1458-36DE. And nvflash won't flash.

Can i add more power states through modding the bios?

can't attech it to this post because of a ajax json error. But this look like mine:

Hey there... nice upgrade!

Which BIOS did you look at? There's 3 for the extreme cards.

AIR_MUMODV1.1_980TiXTREME_F10_DS.zip 146k .zip file
AIR_MUMODV1.1_980TiXTREME_F1_DS.zip 147k .zip file
AIR_MUMODV1.1_980TiXTREME_C6-G_DS.zip 146k .zip file

You couldn't upload here because you did not ZIP the file.. Not. 7zip, not RAR but must be .ZIP
Right click the BIOS you extracted with GPU-z and select "Send to compressed file"

I will need to see your BIOS first we should not assume a BIOS someone else uploaded is the same as the one that came from YOUR GPU...
The vendor ID is not all that we need to know.. As you can see there are many revisions... Fx, F1x and C6-G (maybe others)

It seems Pascal is still essentially based on Maxwell with some design modifications (like you said probably just for clock speed). Down clock a Pascal GPU to around 1500Mhz and you'd see why it would never sell lol.

Degradation... well that's a serious issue and I'd have to side with NVIDIA when talking about a product released to public.. it's not like this wasn't known though, the cards were locked down at launch so they knew about it one would assume.. Half baked?

The TRUE test will be with Volta.. if they have been able to address and eliminate degradation and give us back our vbios mod community smile.gif

That is strange that Pascal wasn't even in Nvidia's roadmap. Has that ever happened in the past?

Shouldn't a 1080Ti at the same clock speed as even a Titan X Maxwell be faster? It has more TMU's and GPC's

That video card claims to have a 700 Watt capable cooling solution, which I'd figure is hopelessly optimistic.
