It's all in the air right now, but I'm hoping it will be something I can provide eventually.

I'm also looking for a 50 x 50 cm Hayate Otsu mid pad. I sent them an e-mail in English but did not get a response. Unfortunately, none of my friends speaks japanese...

I don't represent a company or anything special, so it has been quite daunting. Additionally my partner in Japan, works with me on something completely unrelated to computers! Computers have been a hobby for me. Having him over there, really helps with communicating directly with them.

I'll keep at work to see if I can make this available ASAP! The basic details on what I've been working on are as follows: Something along the lines of 100 ~450 x 400 x 4mm hayate otsus. They have also informed me that these will be a special version as the edges will not be as sharp as the normal OTSU. Im working on figuring out shipping to the US, along with tax, and packaging information. Thus, I can see what the overall cost per mousepad will end up at. I'm hoping within the next 30 days I can work it all out. I even have some fancy packaging art they've provided and I've attached! If there is interest, it will definitely be something I can try to organize once in awhile. Artisan has said they have never done a group order, so this will be a first for them as well! In the meantime, I will try to speak with the correct people on OCN, along with some other outlets like massdrop to see how they may be able to help!

Does anyone feel like the Artisan hayate edgers are like super sharp? , I have a Mid and XSOFT and both have really sharp edges compared to Zero or Hien

If you can get a hayate in a qck or bigger size in a decent price I'd be in. I knew they didn't ship custom sizes to us!

What hardness? Hopefully mid cause soft is to soft

I can't deal with my corepad anymore since I have 80-89% humidity here and it feels like I'm dragging my mouse though mud. At first I thought that it was due to mediocre hotline feet, but now even hyperglides can't do the job. I've decided to abandon cloth pads and get a plastic pad, but since none of those fit (size too small, awful durability) means back to artisan I go.

So. Anyone has any experience with shiden (white) and shiden-kai (orange)? To make it easier here's a list:
1. Durability
2. Glide
3. Surface temperature (as in "is it cold like glass/aluminium or it like a cloth pad")
4. Surface finish (smooth like glass or like plastic slightly bumpy)
5. Do recent sensors work on it. (AM010 or 3360/6).

I'm currently aiming for shiden since I don't like orange color of shiden-kai.

I used a shiden-kai

Durability: Can't say for certain but I believe initial glide is super fast - then it slows down slightly and remains the same afterwards
Glide: fast.. lol.. really fast
Surface: Follows room temperature from what I recalll.. so if it's cold the pad should be cold
Finish: bumpy /grainy plastic for sure
Sensors: 3310 worked fine on it - never tried 3360/6

Also the surface was 100% flat - I think I tried the mid version. Artisan boasts that their pads are humidity resistance so they may be for you. I liked the shiden-kai but the glide was too hardcore for me

My zero is also affected by humidity, so my only choice are their glass coated pads really.

This sounds great, will it be a Mid or Soft Hayate?

I like the idea of the special edges, the current edges of the Hayate are super sharp lol.

I agree. Mid is definitely the way to go on this pad. I'll buy three of them if they are mid since I probably won't ever get another chance at a larger pad from this company that never responds to my e-mails! (albeit, I write to them in English).
