Dell S2240L 21.5" Yellowish Display Appearence!!!

Thread Starter
Guys, I have connected a Dell S2240L 21.5" monitor with my laptop (Dell Inspiron 3542) via HDMI. But the problem is monitor's color output appears yellowish. Colors are not displaying accurately like I see in my laptop. Color difference is greatly visible. Can anyone please tell me what is the reason behind it? How it can be fixed? Since I will use this monitor for graphic design purpose so color accuracy is very important for me.

N.B. Same thing happened with Asus VX229H.

Thanks in advance.

if you had a a tube monitor it would be simple. It means means you lost the blue gun and might as well recycle the thing.

with a non CRT it's more complicated. can you see any blue at all?

Could be a faulty monitor.

Check the cables.

Check your drivers.

Check its not doing anything funky with the colour settings in the graphics driver software.

Since its doing it with other monitors it could be the laptops port, the cable, the graphics chip, or a software problem.
