I'd be more worried about the memory chips than the core tbh. Both Tom's as well as Guru3D found that the memory chips run in excess of 90 or even 100C under gaming load. eek.gif

They do in fact know what they're doing. If the whole 970 fiasco slipped in, I'm pretty sure nvidia is mostly clueless about the state of hardware they put out and too busy swimming in moneys.
