I'll just leave this here...

Nobody is going to argue that the Titan is a value proposition, but you are overstating the case for the 295X2's performance and the merits of CF vs SLI rolleyes.gif

Pretty sure the 295X2 is faster than Titan X so not sure what that graph is on about?

It's faster if you measure raw FPS. Not if you measure 99th percentile frametime. In other words, a single Titan will subjectively appear smoother than the 295X2, even though the raw framerate numbers are lower.

I just put this here because of the claim that CF has "near perfect scaling" and that SLI does not. My experience, having used both, is that they're actually very similar. The above poster was comparing the performance of the 295x2 to SLI Titan X, which is absurd. A 295x2 is comparable to a single TX, not two. Obviously it demolishes even one, let alone two, Titan X cards in terms of value. But it's not on the same playing field as Titan X SLI with regards to performance.

Probably includes several benchmarks didn't have proper CF profiles.

I considered a $599 XFX 295x2.

Conclusion: I'm not one to wait for AMD to release new drivers/profiles 2 months after a game I want to play comes out. I'll take a Titan X now please, and another later. Also, 4GB VRAM is no longer enough.

The end-user experience is just better with NVidia. This is coming from a previous owner of a 5850, 5970, and 6970.
