BF4 mess had nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing to do with gpu vendors and their work with the game dev. BF games are some of the only high profile titles that don't discriminate based on what hardware is being detected. inb4 "but mantle". smile.gif

Keep in mind I brought up BF4 in relation to this statement:

I got ya. I was wondering why you guys were even talking about it in the context of GW title being broken for AMD cards. it's still the case that the game was a mess regardless of hardware, but now I see why you were talking about it.

BF4 has nothing AMD unlike GW tittles. It's not like GW tittles works amazing in Nvidia but they are completely broken with AMD cards and there is no fix the dev or AMD can do because those libraries where designed for Nvidia GPUs. The only thing AMD has was TreessFX and they was fixed.

I just showed the GW features on FC4 aren't broken with the links from hardocp. It might take a little bit but AMD can use them without really any ill effect. It just takes time to program the drivers to use them properly. Much like how Nvidia struggled with tressfx and tomb raider. There are lots of the way it was meant to be played games that run currently better on AMD cards than nvidia. It goes both ways.

Sad to see incompetence like that spreading around to the bigger studios. It's one of the main reasons why I gave up SLI and Surround. Most (not all) developers are here for rushed releases and DLC, nothing more. I want to say Attila is the same mess as Rome 2 but I decided to stop buying CA's games, all of them (Even Alien:Isolation, but that is made by a separate team and not interns). It's sad because the original Rome made me become interested in computers, and now when I have a capable PC (Used to use laptops) they go ass backwards and tarnish themselves.

Yep with the state of PC gaming these days and the path its headed down, I've decided multi-GPU setups are no longer worth the hassle for me, so I'll be sticking to the most powerful single card solutions from here on out, unless things change for the better.

With that being said, I still think SLI makes sense for laptops.

1440 is 3.7M pixels
4K is 8.3M pixels
Surround 1440 is 11.1M pixels
5K is 14.7M pixels
Surround 4K is 24.9M pixels
8K is 33.2M pixels

If FPS was higher in 3x4K than 5K something really weird (broken) would have to be going on.
