I don't recall exactly, but I believe Eric had said that it wasn't as big a deal as everyone was making it out to be, as he wasn't experiencing the kind of frame time crippling behavior that pcper was broadcasting. This was based off his 7970 crossfire.. He has sli Titans now, so can't see him being butt hurt about anything. tongue.gif
Just my recollection anyway.... Lol

Eric the shill doesn't ever miss the opportunity to hop into a pcper related thread to display his displeasure. Seems hurt to me. smile.gif

Back when I was trying out HD7970Xfire, (This was when the frame pacing drivers first came out), the difference between using the frame pacing driver and using the versions before that were so starkly different that it boggles my mind that people couldn't see it. Literally was giving me a migraine headache w/o the frame pacing. With frame pacing, when I could actually get Xfire to even work, it was a fan-damn-tastic experience. Unfortunately, because I don't have all the time in the world to get Xfire to work in each and every separate game, I had to let those cards go.

Frame pacing was a damn monstrous deal. You had to be blind to be unable to see it. Was as different as night and day. That driver release was the best thing AMD has honestly ever released.

And for someone who has been in this community for a long time (Eric), it mystifies me that he actually thinks that Linus actually reviews an item without bias. The guy is more biased than any other reviewer out there. Not to mention that they REALLY don't even actually go in depth in reviewing the item that they are posting a video of. Hell, they said the ROG Swift was the best thing since sliced bread. You and everyone else knows how that went (QC issues, etc.). He said the LG34UM95 was the best thing since sliced bread, but conveniently that panel was so ridden with backlight bleed issues that it rivals the Swift in quantity of issues. And don't even get me started with Corsair, of which he is the second biggest biased reviewer towards their products, right under TinyTomLogan.

PCPer probably has as much bias towards certain products as much as other reviewers. But at least they get down to the nitty gritty and actually reviews the product, despite as much crap as they might receive from doing so.

I am sure that there are a lot of "official advocates" for both sides in this thread ... tongue.gif

Those guys reflect more perspective on the content they present - without regurgitating it whole, imo. They also are the closest we have next to genuine enthusiasm and are quite personable. Their scene transitions are smoother, containing great sound dub & video. I also like Logan's flick switching between cameras, too. Some gosu micro, there.
It is much more like a DIY streaming tutorial for the masses than a bunch of advertorials which live up to the spectacle.

And yet Logan practically knows nothing about the object that he is generally presenting. Logan is as much of a mouthpiece as Linus is. Heck, he used to do the product advertisements and overviews for TigerDirect. You do realize that don't you?

That, and the most controversial videos that they have made have been proven time and time again to be false. Did you ever watch or hear about the Mayflower incident? Where they shilled the ever living crap out of that product? Despite being shown that their line of reasoning for vouching for that product was completely false? Or the AMD incident where everything that that came out with is proven by the umpteen-million different studies that show that they are incorrect (and put aside your AMD bias for once in this case, because like it or not, it is the truth).

The only thing that place has is good camera work. In terms of content, they are no better than LTT and TTL. And in some cases, even worse. Because some cases, they know absolutely jack all of what they are talking about.

Can you provide more details regarding that incident?
