Just my recollection anyway.... Lol
Back when I was trying out HD7970Xfire, (This was when the frame pacing drivers first came out), the difference between using the frame pacing driver and using the versions before that were so starkly different that it boggles my mind that people couldn't see it. Literally was giving me a migraine headache w/o the frame pacing. With frame pacing, when I could actually get Xfire to even work, it was a fan-damn-tastic experience. Unfortunately, because I don't have all the time in the world to get Xfire to work in each and every separate game, I had to let those cards go.
Frame pacing was a damn monstrous deal. You had to be blind to be unable to see it. Was as different as night and day. That driver release was the best thing AMD has honestly ever released.
And for someone who has been in this community for a long time (Eric), it mystifies me that he actually thinks that Linus actually reviews an item without bias. The guy is more biased than any other reviewer out there. Not to mention that they REALLY don't even actually go in depth in reviewing the item that they are posting a video of. Hell, they said the ROG Swift was the best thing since sliced bread. You and everyone else knows how that went (QC issues, etc.). He said the LG34UM95 was the best thing since sliced bread, but conveniently that panel was so ridden with backlight bleed issues that it rivals the Swift in quantity of issues. And don't even get me started with Corsair, of which he is the second biggest biased reviewer towards their products, right under TinyTomLogan.
PCPer probably has as much bias towards certain products as much as other reviewers. But at least they get down to the nitty gritty and actually reviews the product, despite as much crap as they might receive from doing so.
