though I have to say mem read\write may vary from 5700-6000 anyway, but you can notice that there is no improvement anyway

Hmm maybe AMD changed something with recent drives as I am noticing the same thing.

That is from a while back at 600Mhz timings and there was definitely a difference.

Anyone else notice more game crashes with a Fury X? Admittedly it is rare but I never got any crashes with my old R9 290 which was highly overclocked. I twice over a few months got crashes in GTA V. Once in a graveyard at night looking at gravestones with torch and then once recently in GTA online.

Battleborn crashed on me once near the end of a level I had just beaten all the enemies and was just gathering up loot and it crashed. I do not know if it crashed again as I have not played it since as I was annoyed at having killed so many enemies and couldn't be bother ed to have to do it all over again.

It's possible your memory clocks are stuck in software. You may need to clean uninstall and do a full shutdown and restart. Then reinstall the drivers. It happens sometimes.

I've made a clean install already when I updated drivers from 17.2.1 to 17.3.3. Nothing changed. All monitoring software I use (AB, hwinfo, trixx) show clock change when I adjust it

Ok that's not being a problem then. You would of then noticed, in Trixx or Hwinfo, after benchmarking if the clocks had reverted.

  • 3 x Fury X
  • Ryzen 1800x

First test on TimeSpy (all stock clocks)
http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/19353521?

I'm having a weird problem now where everytime I try to set an overclock via TriXX, Xfire stops working... At the very least, I can run Crysis now thumb.gif

EDIT:
  • So, I can recreate the problem with a fresh install of TriXX.
  • On a new boot, first I launch Furmark and see my FPS is at 260 and Crossfire is enabled.
  • Then I close out of the stress test, open TriXX and hit apply without changing anything.
  • Now I go back to Furmark and start the stress test and my FPS is now at 80 (still shows crossfire enabled, but I can see my second and third cards are showing no load)

yup, i noticed it too with my fury nitro OC, HBM don't overclock at all despite msi afterburner saying it's at 550-600mhz. Aida64 results are the same when you try to overclock the vram but are lower when you underclock HBM. seems like it's software locked :/

Hahaha don't worry, I got a couple. Silver one is powering pumps and fan controller.
Black one underneath it is powering mobo and dual Fury X's.
Black EVGA up front is powering the temporary Fury X.

Pretty messy setup, but I'm gonna be tearing down the chillbox relatively soon to construct a new one. The Fury X without a custom waterblock is not staying in this build either, I just wanted to benchmark with 3 on Ryzen.

I Bleed Red

Is there anything more AMD than over 2000w worth of power supplies and a 12,000BTU air conditioner to cool it? Maybe, but we're definitely closing in on the pinnacle of AMDism here.

Regards. Sorry my bad english im from Mexico, hoppe the community find this helpful, this guide it's my final conclusion of 2 year's with the Radeon Fury X, so this is it...

Actually I own a Sapphire Radeon Fury X since it comes out, and until now i was looking for a decent OVERCLOCK to this Hardware, Finally and thanks to the community and reading some of the post i have what i want with, so that's why today reply this post to help someone like me who try to do a decent OC, without Kill the card or have any issue about, ok?
Actually the Hardware it's quite disappointing because all we think HBM was better on the OC point than DDR5 or Fiji will be better than Hawaii or the before gen of GPU, but no, the whole thing was released and abandoned by AMD, but ok I think, they will comes with VEGA, but thats not the point now, I love this GPU, really im happy with but like everyone here i was thinking its potential was sealed, ok so reading and doing some by myself near to screw the entire thing, THANK GOD for the dual BIOS!!!
I finally have an stable OC of 1140/570 72 mv Running all my games and several Bench, Thanks a lot all the community and special this entire - Page 1045.
So how come to this ok I make this 3 steps to made it:

1.- Reading some here and there in this 2 years take action to upgrade my BIOS, this make the OC more efficient and stable, belive me without this step can't do a better OC, so i put here the pages i read to achievement this:
https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/amd-official-uefi-vbios-for-fury-x-released-apr-5th.221766/
https://community.amd.com/community/gaming/blog/2016/04/05/radeon-r9-fury-nano-uefi-firmware
https://www.techpowerup.com/download/ati-atiflash/ ============> This is the tool to upgrade the BIOS
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/gpu-firmware-download ====> This is the latest official bios to this card 113-C8800100-107 BIOS PART NUMBER

2.- Done the BIOS thing u have to upgrade your DRIVERS to CRIMSON version 17.4.2 The actual release, so i strongly recommend to uninstall all the drivers of your PC with Display Driver Uninstaller Tool, and then install the Crimson Drivers ok?
http://www.wagnardsoft.com/content/display-driver-uninstaller-ddu-v17063-released =====> Display Driver Uninstaller
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+10+-+64 ====> AMD Latest Drivers

3.- Download and install the Sapphire TRIXX, and put this settings on:

========> http://www.sapphiretech.com/catapage_tech.asp?cataid=291&lang=en

Power Limit to 10%

GPU Voltage to + 72 mV

Fan Speed to 80% Actually put mine to 90%, but it's personal choice i think all the heat will be fine if u try since 60%, but i preffer do not run any risk so i recommend 75% to balance noise/performance.

GPU CLOCK 1140. ======> Stable to me with all that fixes i tell to you, i run several Bench like Heaven Benchmark, Metro Redux Benchmark, AIDA64 Benchmark and Resident EVIL 6 Benchmark, also I played with ARK Survival Evolved, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, Titanfall 2, Star Wars: Battlefront, also Alien Isolation, and its Stable enough, i was trying the 1200/600 OC with Power limit 14% and 74 mV but crashes - so i try this until now all things run so much good the performance it's good.

MEMORY CLOCK 570/1140. ====> Stable and match with the GPU CLOCK 1140 it's the value of the EFFECTIVE MEMORY CLOCK, by the way for those don't know in Sapphire TRIXX settings.

TO AUTOMATICALLY RUN ALL THE OC SETTINGS FROM THE STARTUP OF THE PC U NEED TO SAVE THEM IN THE 1ST PROFILE OF THE SAPPHIRE TRIXX, AND GO IN THE SETTINGS PANEL AND CHECK THE EFFECTIVE MEMORY CLOCK, SAVE FAN SETTINGS WITH PROFILE, LOAD ON WINDOWS STARTUP, AND MINIMIZED, "AND RESTORE CLOCKS - IF U DON'T PUT THIS ONE U HAVE TO GO TO THE TRIXX APP EVERY TIME THE CPU STARTS TO WORK", AND THAT'S IT... ENJOY THIS!!!
