Not sure what drivers you are using but known black screen start with FURYX. Mine does it from time to time. Try starting give it a few minutes if not power off then start. Good luck

I think I had to also boot safe mode uninstall what ever driver I was running and get the latest ones when I got my Fury Tri-X. I also had a bunch of problems with the DP cables not making proper contact on the GPU end.

Hrm well it's the only viable option for what I am looking for at the moment. I really would prefer an IPS but Eizo is taking their sweet time and I won't settle for a 90hz ceiling that the Asus has nor am I going back to 1080.

You uninstall previous driver before switching the cards, right? In any case try DDU (very good tool) in safe mode then install the new drivers. If still didn't work try a windows fresh install.

I'm getting my replacement Fury X on friday, do I have to remove and re-install the drivers even though it is the same GPU or can I just power off, turn off PSU, and swap the XFX one for the Sapphire?

I been looking into what Fury card to buy for months, and I have concluded that ASUS Fury Strix runs coolest, the VRM never went above 75c, however I do not know if it was due to the IR camera not being able to penetrate the backplate.

The Sapphire card VRM runs at around 100-110c.

The Fury X 100-110c.

These temps are during Furmark, I have found the information on youtube (Toms Hardware IR camera) and on various reviews that uses thermal imaging.

Hope it helps somewhat.
the Sapphire Fury Tri-x has the coolest VRMs of any of the current Fiji cards at the moment. My cards run really cool.

Although can somebody tell me how they are measuring these temps? From what I can tell my Sapphire Fury's do not have a VRM temp probe installed. I really thought they would of included this with the cards like the 290's. But it seems iI wrong?

I stuck a K type probe into the VRM area and tried to measure the highest temperature possible.
