Stock Nano. I ran one benchmark at 1200 and core temps didnt break 60c. Of course no clue on the VRM. But it would be hard to say how the Nano VRM reacts, it doesn't seem to share any characteristics of the Fury though and until something conclusive comes about, i'll just take it slow. Need to get a temp probe though. All this is kinda useless until I can verify the FPS problem.

But at 1200 to keep it below 60 im guessing the fans it at max? if not then the nano truly is great.. I like my fury, but im gonna change the TIM. Alot see great improvements after that.

I have the fan set to run at 100% at 60c atm. Does removing the cooler void the warranty?

Buy furyx then....
expecting such with a Nano made for a different power envelope seems like a waste of time.

Personally I watercool the Nano and call it a day or just buy the furyx having wc on it already.

I have both. I am more interested in the limitations of the design. No one has found that yet.

I currently have my Nano on stock bios set to 1100Mhz amd 550 with no issues. When I overclocked the Fury X I was able to push it past 1200Mhz with voltage at +24mv and the same with the Nano with the Fury X bios. So to me it seems there is more head room for the Nano.

The FPS reporting is the other issue, I am not sure how Firestrike or Unigine calculate FPS, or if the card sends the info, but what is was reporting did not feel like it was accurate.

Did you bench games or anything? I have found my Nano when I push it to 1135+ and 550+ (under water) the fps in those two apparently get lower then when I am at 1110 and 500 for example.

I haven't played any games with the Fury X bios. Here are the firestrike scores: Nano W/ Fury X bios http://www.3dmark.com/fs/7338890, Nano /default bios http://www.3dmark.com/fs/7337138

So same clock settings, half the fps. I can tell the FPS it was reporting was not the actual frame rate.

Anyone here with Nanos have acceptable coil whine? The one I just got for my SFF build may be the worst coil whine I've ever heard. I've read the articles about it, but wasn't expecting it to be this bad. I might just return it and go for a 970 Mini or R9 380 compact instead.

My current one is okay in regards to whine. My first one however was awful.
