My laptop with 8gb 980m actually provides a better experience in fallout 4 than my fury X.

From day 1 Fallout 4 I was running it on my Fury X with max settings with 16x tesalation, no god rays in 4k resoultion. But it required alot of optimizations to get it to run nicely with 45fps minimals and 55fps max. I even had to resort to overclocking my ram. It is humorous that right now a single Fury X is doing better on the most recent updates for fallout 4 than a 980 TI, it's a bad joke for nvidia owners considering it's a gameworks game.

Managed to hit 1170 on the clock and 530 on memory, tested with metro 2033 redux benchmark. What is everyone else getting?

The memory only overclocks in steps apparently, so probably not 530mhz. More likely running at 545mhz (or stock speeds, I forget how it decides the steps)

500-545-600-and the devil's overclock, 666.66. Rounds it to the nearest step, whether that be up or down.

Very interesting! Well I couldn't even get firestrike to load on 1170/530(545?). Just finishing up my CPU OC, 3.5 to 4.4 on my 6600k

I'll start from stock and work my way up again on firestrike(if it loads). Then test on metro and valley/heaven

Got through fire strike ultra on 1170/545. Gained 8% from stock.

I have an inverted motherboard case so if i install my fury x it will be upside down, will that cause any problems? like coolant not touching the heatsink because air is in the way?

yes. Just crossfire will default to using 3584 shaders and 224 TMU's on both cards. Crossfire will bypass the extra enabled parts of the Fury X.

The R9 nano cooler is a hybrid blower. If I covered one part of the heatsink (where the power connector is - to avoid heat being dissipated into the case), how much of an impact would it have on cooling?

Edit: Nah seems like a bad idea, since there is a solid line separating the two zones.

Good work on the FPS increase. Would you mind posting the contents of your fallout4prefs.ini? I've made so many tweaks but haven't really found a good configuration. Are you using any mods to gain performance?
