Befor you ask , yes i have a EK nikel+acetal Waterblock + Backplate waiting for that card .

thanks and good to be here.

Congrats! I own an XFX Fury as well, love the card :) As for a modded bios, I'm actually investigating the same thing so I'll let you know what I find unless somebody beats me to it :)

I'll give that a try when AMD finely decides to forward the card to PCPER.

Thanks for the info.

At 1050Mhz it was at base Fury X performance, and traded blows with my Fury cards that could overclock much higher, once again thanks to the full Fuji core vs stripped down but faster. For synthetic benchmark both cards could reach the 1085-1090 Mhz mark okay on stock cooler but fans were ramped up hard to maintain that.

Under water its all changed and the Nano has become beastly biggrin.gif My current sample can hit 545 on the memory which has not changed as 600 Mhz seems too far, but in synthetics, can hit 1140 Mhz and for daily use settles in at 1125 Mhz on the core. Pretty much putting it a decently overclocked Fury X levels which is nice. This is the point at which however the cooling is not the issue, rather the limited power draw and cut down power phases I expect being unable to reach the high 1150-1200 Mhz mark some Fury X's / Fury's are capable of.

Awesome what your getting from your Nano.

I'm looking forward to trying a few things myself once I've gotten familiar with my card. If I'm really impressed with it, maybe twins in the future.

Thanks

I just tried it a bit and for me (2x Fury X, 3970X@5GHz, 1080p@120Hz with 120FPS frame limit), it scales decently. There seems to be a little bit of something like rubber banding. There is more input lag, but that is always the case with Multi GPU (at least without DirectX 12, Vulcan, Mantle) and without VSync it is not bad for me. If there is no CPU limit, I am able to get 120FPS when I previously was not able to.

I will try to record videos with Crossfire enabled and with Crossfire disabled and upload them (video files, not YouTube).

I spent a lot of time yesterday playing around with a lot of settings and seem to have found the culprit... HBAO+, which looks great and has no perceivable impact on frame rates when running a single fury X, is what has caused most of the stuttering for me with crossfire enabled. Changing to SSAO results in much smoother gameplay, however, in this mode the AO effect in game constantly flickers (in exactly the same way as forcing AFR or using the crisis 3 profile did in the older 15.11.1 drivers). So it seems like they haven't resolved the AO issues in their profile, but it's something I can live with. Anyone else confirm they have the SSAO shimmering with CF enabled?

So crossfire would be really useful in this game I hope they make a profile as I easily get 45-60fps with crossfire enabled.
I am using two mods that help alot:
FPS dynamic shadows - Shadow Boost

Fallout 4 alternative launcher

The fallout 4 launcher will have all the fallout4prefs.ini edits available to change as well as some others that are not in it to start with. One of the gem's is enabling multi core threading "iNumHWThreads. By default fallout 4 only uses one core.

Hi Otter, thanked for posting your settings, did help with narrowing down some of the problem areas. Though I'm not surprised this gives you good fps as you've disabled most of the intensive features like the volumetric lighting and god rays, and even running with AF at 1X... the latter makes everything look terrible though, surely you can up that to 16X without going below your target frame rate?
I certainly can turn up stuff now crossfire works, however god rays and vol lighting does very little for me, I do run at 4k resolution. Even AF has diminishing returns in visual gain at 4k, many texturing effects become not as big a deal when running 4k res. But I will definatly turn it up now that my twin fury X are playing nicely.

God rays and vol lightning tax fps the heaviest and are not worth turning on if you arent getting decent fps to start with.

For me, the game looks the same as it does with one graphic card. The usage went up from about 50% per GPU with SSAO to about 65% per GPU with HBAO+ (at least in the one scene where I tested it) with a 120FPS limit.

I have directly compared the After Burner values (GPU usage, CPU usage, FPS) with God Rays set to High (volumetric lightning quality 2) and set to Ultra (volumetric lightning quality 3) and noticed that neither the GPU usage nor the CPU usage go up (more than a few percent), but the FPS decrease (by about 25%) with a 120 FPS limit. As far as I know, that means that the game (or the Nvidia God Rays in it) are not well optimized.

I can easily get 16x AF now in fallout 4 crossfire. I am getting around 55-80 fps in game. I notice it goes lower with Frame Rate target control, the down clocking is much less than before but It's still there. I would recommend using Riva Tuner Statistic Server to limit the fps. I have my 4k Monitor OC -> 75Hz so I set it to 75 fps in Riva Tuner fps limit.

I also have the Shadow Boost target set to 65 fps.
