Sapphire Fury (non-nitro). I thought it was fine at +18mV, but Project Cars seemed to kill it fairly quick smile.gif

Witcher 3 kills my OCs over and over, but most other games are stable around 1150/545 with +55mv on my Fury X.

Yeah, PCars just died again... no idea why.

I can play hours upon hours of BF4 with no issue... but Pcars must be stock...

gta5 was the same way for many people that kept getting crashes, it just didn't like anything except stock settings for whatever reason.

Did you compare the load pattern in this game to other games? Is it maxed out constantly or fluctuating? V-sync on/off?

So it seems undervolting the Nano yields some impressive results.

This one is at 1090/545 @ -18mv http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/10696867?

This one is 1075/545 @ -6mv http://www.3dmark.com/fs/7505360

Seems to good to be true...would a Fury X Yield similar results I wonder?

Edit: For a second there I thought it was firestrike extreme, and that a nano was smashing my fury X by like 3k points hahah.

So I started to entertain the idea of a 60 Hz 4K over a 144 Hz 1440p freesync monitor. I’m trying to get a feel for others experience running 4K on a single fury or fury X.

1. How well are you doing keeping 60 FPS average? Which games, what settings?
2. Is running no AA at 4K still as brilliant as 1440 with AA turned ON?

I’m hoping with medium settings maintaining 60 FPS would be possible on my nitro fury as an interim card that I will be selling when AIB‘s come out with their versions of Polaris.

I’ve been outweighing waiting on DP1.3 for 4K support up to 144 Hz but not sure if a single Polaris will be able to push it properly unknowing what that holds until it's released. I do not want to crossfire, or SLI ever again.

I’m not a competitive gamer and spend more time using monitor for multi-media like streaming than gaming. Currently there aren’t any 144 Hz freesync IPS monitors that have caught my interest due to either low freesync range capped at 90 FPS or overdrive not working properly on others.

Whatever I choose will be for two years or more so it’s been a tough choice. Thanks in advance for any replies. I may have found a nice 60 Hz freesync 4k monitor with DP1.2a and HDMI 2.0.

I was able to keep 50-60 FPS relatively well in most newer games, provided I used a mix of medium and high settings and turned off the big offenders (HBAO+, max tess, etc.). Occasional forays into the 40's but nothing too troubling as my panel is Freesync, albeit a limited range. Older games/MMO's were toast, no problems at High settings and the like.

Thank you for your reply. +1 rep for sharing as I'm within $200 of reaching my goal and about to make a $700 purchase. So along comes THIS very appealing 4K monitor with HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.2a support.

I'm glad ViewSonic decided to do away with the bird feet stand on this new gaming series.

As for gaming, I wouldn't mind turning down game settings while looking down the road patiently for when Polaris launches. Suddenly this nitro fury has more value / appeal to me than before allowing me to explore 4K and not to forget liquid VR looks promising biggrin.gif
