Yeah i have the issue whenever i add more than 30mv i get blackscreens and it comes back for a second and black screens again. is it a known issue or should i just rma and hope for a better sample?
So we have no solutions to the problem thus far. Is this do you think caused by the overclocking programs or do you think it's a BIOS issue. Has anyone tried talking to AMD about it?

Does this problem *only* occur when adding voltage?

If so, an RMA might be a bit tricky. Almost sounds like a driver reset, which could indicate a software-only issue, or a voltage regulator issue, or a BIOS issue, or...

Nothing else in them will be changed except the version idetntification string so that ir reflects which BIOS you're using. So instead of the BIOS version being a string of random numbers it will be something like: "Buildzoid.testBIOS.500" or something. Also if anything explodes it's not my fault.

I don't mind blowing up one of my cards, I was prepared to kill at least one when I first did my hard volt mods. If anything I love tinkering and often buy hardware/tech with the intention to modify it from day one.

I appreciate you supplying your hacked bios. thumb.gif

from what ive gotten so far i get random shadow and picture distortions from stock but adding volts makes the problem worse even stock clocks add voltage blackscreen instantly i might return it and get another hoping i dont have the same problem.

Interesting - definitely sounds like a card issue (I assume you did the normal driver uninstall - with DDU - and reinstall already).

Out of curiosity, have you tried undervolting? Leave clocks stock, just move the voltage down. Almost sounds like what happens when you start pushing voltage too hard and things get unstable (yeah, that's a thing thumb.gif). Probably isn't, but worth a shot (and would probably point to a single failed passive on the card's VRM).

yeah i reinstalled 16.1.1 and 15.12 to see if there was a difference checked both bios. Same issue but i will check undervolting and see if i have issues. But its going back and hoping for a more cooperative one. This experience had me looking at a 980ti for 4k but than i realize i couldnt do it no matter what.

@buildzoid

Cheers got the ROM, will view ASAP, at present I've started to study @Xtreme Addict LN2 ROMs done by Asus R&D (Link to ROMs).

If anyone else have time/wanna give input use AtomDis to create tables for ROMs, view OP of Hawaii bios mod thread. Do compares of like CU ROMs ie stock vs 3564 VGPU vs 3564 LN2, otherwise you will see changes related to unlock of CU. The CU unlock is located in what's called TV1OutputControl command table in AtomDis tables list for a ROM.

Currently working on Stock FuryStrix Vs 3564 / VGPU CONTROL Vs FIXED LN2 3564 . My pastebin has AtomDis tables lists for these ROMs.

I wouldn't advise flashing the Strix ROMs to a ref PCB Fury/X as VRM design differs.
Sapphire Fury Tri-X OC PCB (Click to show)
Asus Fury Strix PCB (Click to show)

I believe the XA ROMs can be made to support ref PCB Fury/X VRM by modding the VoltageObjectInfo from ref to XA ROMs, as this is what "we" have been doing on Hawaii ROMs.
Quote:
Note that LN2 Fixed bioses have disabled monitoring of temperature, you can flash it and try on air and it won't kill you card, but you will be playing "blind".

This is another thing that we must be aware of when using those ROMs as is or modded to support ref PCB. Hoping to get through enough of the ROMs before my Fury arrives so can start testing ASAP smile.gif .

Started a bios mod thread so hope you and others will join in there smile.gif .

Hey all just got a Fury-X last month any have some questions regarding pump noise.

I'm curious if anyone has some video on the current pump noise levels after the fix. My card seems to be really load.

I have two videos documenting the noise.my card emits.

Easy. Return it ASAP and get a replacement. You have video proof plus the initial launch Fury Xs had well known noise issues. I have 0 noise coming from my Fury X. I haven't heard that noise your Fury X is emitting before.
