Is this a decent nano score in fire strike ultra?

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/12633192

Went to some extreme measures to keep tempatures good never went above 67

Can also check against submissions here:
http://hwbot.org/benchmark/3dmark_-_fire_strike_ultra/rankings?hardwareTypeId=videocard_2519&cores=1#start=0#interval=20

Note though both "keithplayspc" and "S@ber" have fishy results - achieving 4k graphics score on much lower clocks (lol @ 1025Mhz).

Ill see if I can reach 1080Mhz and try to do a test too.

What extreme measures did you take lol.

Here is my score at 1080Mhz.

http://www.3dmark.com/compare/fs/8910204/fs/8915673

settings were:

100% fan speed, +50% power limit, 8% overclock from crimson. 80C threshold. No HBM oc.

About 42 points higher, idk how significant is this 3DMark terms. Try not to overclock the HBM and check again.

For some odd reason, Test 1 of Firestrike always causes power related throttling - cant seem to figure out why, it seems like a power hungry test. My clocks were jumping from 985 to 1012 to 1025 to 1080Mhz only in this test. Rest of the tests kept 1080Mhz stable.

@bluezone and @bdub109 can you both check if it throttles during test 1 too in your OC settings (1100Mhz and 1080Mhz respectively)? If not, are you adding mV elsewhere (BIOS or Afterburner)?

I know bluezones settings are +50PL and -24mV at 1100Mhz and TIM replacement.

Thanks

I'll try when I get home from work. As far as cooling goes besides my normal fans I add three while running benchmarks. There all three the same size like 90mm or so. I put one at the back of my case right below the nano and one right below the nano at the other end facing same direction. At the from of my case I have an airflow fan pulling fresh air in. It creates a great line of air from the front to the back. I also use the third slanted sitting on top of the nano to bring cool air in from my top fan. It really does a great job of keeping everything cool. I also turn the portable air conditioner I have in the room as low as it will go lol down to 67F I'll take a picture next time I run a test.

Newbie question TIM replacement meaning thermal paste replacement? How difficult is that?

I have slightly modded Bios and have very slight throttling @ 1100Mhz. Usually 1085-1100Mhz.

Being a Newbie you should pay attention to this video before considering thermal paste replacement.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghoiSZtqw-c

After watching that, decide if you want to replace GPU TIM. There are certain things you have watch out for on Fiji GPU's (Fury series). Go back and read the last 25 or pages Fiji owners club to get an idea of what you need to do. Then PLEASE ask questions. Remember this may likely void warranty and is something you do at your own peril. Meaning were not responsible if you break something.

I think your temperatures are fine right now. I on the other hand had very bad thermals due to the TIM.

When I say newbie I mean I've been deeply into computers since the age of 14, now I'm 28. I have always been a hardcore electronics, gaming, and pc nerd. I have been around electronics in retail sense and management/training professional. I'm pretty knowledgable just haven't dug this deep into modding and over clocking until recently. I do not plan on doing anything else to the card until I out it on water. In that case I would have to redo the Tim anyways.

On a side note a nano with ek water block just sold on eBay for 405$. Pretty nice deal I bid 400 but didn't really have the extra money so stopped bidding.
