Well, Im pushing for now about 8 hours in the menu of The Witcher 3. I will do 12 hours and tell if there is a difference after that. The fps is just above 3500.

OK, so I've been water cooling my Nano for a couple of days now. I'm setting the power limit to +50%, voltage to +12%, core at +11% and memory at +50 MHz. So this is resulting in a sustained overclock of:

1111 MHz GPU Clock
550 MHz HBM

Seems stable thus far. Question though, is this the best I should expect out of the card? Are there any modded BIOS with TDP increases forced in for water cooling?

Still a solid 26 MH/sec on my Nano, wondering if I should undervolt a bit or overclock tomorrow.

So, never mind. I found a link to a modded BIOS (for either air or water) on reddit.

Personally I wouldn't edit the throttling temp of GPU, but it can be done via bios mod. I would edit the cooling profile behavior via SW or FW so your not reaching 75C. With room temps of ~22C-24C the Fury X AIO can maintain 50C pretty quietly IMO. I modified cooling target GPU temp from 65C to 50C and upped the sensitivity by +100%.

Disregarding that bluedevil has Fury X and flashing it with Fury Tri-X / Nitro is not advisable, the 80C temp they set in Tri-X / Nitro ROM is pants implementation IMO. They haven't changed GPU throttling temp, they've changed the cooling target GPU temp (ie how fan will behave), which actually would mean you hit higher GPU temps on the increased PL ROM. Which isn't really handy when OC'ing / having increased PL.

When I saw the slide about how the Nitro had "improved" mosfets I was like "nice". Then I noted 2 things:-

i) I preferred the IR DirectFets with metal casing / separate low & high side fets than the "all in one" PowerStage ones on Nitro.
ii) even though in Nitro slide they present we're using 60A fets vs 50A on ref PCB they gimped the PL compared with Tri-X.
iii) I don't think the specs on slide for mosfets for either card is correct.

Nitro PL (left stock PL / right increased PL)

Fury Tri-X PL (left stock PL / right increased PL)

If you do repaste the GPU any chance of markings from mosfets on Nitro or hi-res images of VRM? cheers smile.gif .

Yes, the performance scaling of these gpu is insane, but the oc potential is so poor. I think, after 1-2 hours in The Witcher 3, mine will go no futher then 1100/1040 on 1.27V, witch is +72mV. Well, maybe 1110, but I want to have room for failures.

Also tested it a bit before with my Fury Nitro. 850 clock is easily stable at -96mV and -50% power target (I am using second, 300W bios though, was too lazy to switch back after overclocking attempts) and compared to stock settings power draw from the wall for entire system dropped from 360W to 195W under heavy load like Valley or Witcher 3. On this settings Fury was like 1-2% more powerful than R9 390@1040, got 1592 in Valley vs 1562 of 390. Temps were ridiculously low around 47C at 35% fan speed (1280 RPM)

No change... I have done 10 hours. Maybe I will do 6 hours Valley, dont know. I dont think that it will help anyway. How long I need to put the card under that kind of load ? 24 hours ?

If you're not using headphones already would they be sufficient to make the noise tolerable?

There are probably headphones specifically designed to block out ambient noise.
