The only difference between those chips are the stock voltage. Just because it is rated 120watts, doesn't mean it uses 120watts.

Really if you wanted, you could under volt the X5460. But when it comes to Max OC, they both are about the same. And both will be using around the same amount of power if running at around the same voltage.


Your CPU is powered by the 4-8pin CPU power connector, on the 12v side of your PSU.

The X5460 has a higher multi, the E5450 is like the X5450.


You Must make sure you are getting a E0 stepping chip, that is the most important part.
