If I ever go back to pc gaming 21:9 will be my choice. Do all newer games support this ratio?

Yeah, I think so considering my 5760x1080 runs on nearly every newer game with no tweaks. Only older games have problems with ultra widescreen these days. Most unsupported games can be forced to run ultra widescreen with memory hack tools such as flawless widescreen or widescreen fixer that do everything automatically.

Does this mean they have sorted the awful scaling that Windows 7 and 8 had?

They should if I am not mistaken. Especially with the amount of new gaming panels, curved panels, and all sorts of displays that are within the ratio.

what's stopping Asus or someone crazy-gluing two panels together and making a MST 8K120?

cable bandwidth i think? dvi-d had to be upgraded to disaplayport for current 4k, im not certain displayport can support 8k 120hz, maybe 8k 30hz? so stopping them is cable technology maybe. biggrin.gif

That's part of why these articles are a joke. 4K is already limited but 8K is "supported" ? Just like we have crossfire support, sli support, g sync support, freesync support. biggrin.gif

Where can I see this?

I'm pretty sure Windows 7 is 8K compatible. The question is when will we have cables that support it.
But I'm still only at 1080P. #foreverbehind.
