Yes, that is splitting hairs, but it isn't a FULL 9Hz to 240Hz.

Further, you are just plain wrong on the 30-144Hz range of G-Sync. That is only the range of current panels. That would be like you saying that FreeSync only has a range of 40-144 because that is what the BenQ supports (or do you want to say that it only supports 48-75Hz because that is all another FreeSync panel supports). The FACT of the matter is, G-Sync supports a range of 1-240Hz, NOT 30-144Hz.

If you are going to comment on the technology, please LEARN the facts before you go out and spread patently false lies about a topic you obviously have no expertise on.

Don't waste your breath. There are people here who will hate on AMD no matter what. AMD could come out with a 16 core processor that runs on 100 watts and they would still complain that it's single core performance doesn't match a 5960X.

However, back to the topic on hand. Has anyone here done much testing with OCing their processors and testing at both default and oc?

You have no point. You're so out of touch with what either Freesync or G-sync does that I can't be bothered to spend an hour and a half typing a novel to tell you where, why and on how many levels you are wrong. It's not worth my time. The facts are all over the forums and the review sites but you're too busy shiptoasting to read them, and I can't be bothered to warp my brain to the same frequency of your illogic to show them to you.

Did you not watch the video? Go to 12:10 and watch. G-Sync will send the multiple frames to get to the panels minimum. For example, if you drop below 30Hz and that is the panels, then it goes higher and doubles ... or triples ... or quadruples ... etc. until the multiplied value goes into the panels range.

13:08 ... they even say that you can go even lower than 18Hz ... it just keeps multiplying the frames.

15:30 ... they even say that it goes all the way down, and even say 1FPs.

There, was your hand sufficiently held?

This is why I can't stand people who identify themselves with a brand. I don't care what the brand is.

The only people who will actually benefit in any significant way from either G-sync of Freesync is going to be a very narrow band of people in the middle of the hardware spectrum. G-sync is better for lower end hardware but people buying lower end hardware can't afford the premium monitor. Freesync matches G-sync for people with higher end hardware and does it for free, but people with higher end hardware don't care that it's free. If they want a G-sync monitor they can afford it. The only competition between the two will be for a minority of people who can either afford a second GPU and a freesync monitor, or a single GPU and a G-sync monitor. Then and only then will people have to legitimately consider the pros and cons of one or the other.

Long story short: The product placement in the market is ass-backwards from what it should be and as a result nobody wins. Freesync and G-sync can't even be considered direct competitors at this point, they're just similar products.

Last quote in the comment you replied to was mine.

Oh, and I've got a 30% increase in draw calls with a 30% overclock. So far is scales perfectly.

...technically does that mean 1fs is the minimum refresh rate (if it quadruples fps when fps falls very low)?

So you think it's a fair point to compare gsync (which has been around for a while) to freesync which we have only a few of them available on the market, something they just did in that video, do you think it's a fair/ appropriate point to make? Am sure it won't take you an hour and a half to answer yes or no question.

Alright, I need some help.

My ISP is crap, so it took me literally all weekend to download Windows 10 and then get it patched up to 10041 for the DX12 functionality. Naturally I did some API tests while I was waiting for 10041 to download.

Almost no change between Windows 7 and 10. Kind of what I expected to be honest. But then I screwed up somewhere....

Because this is what I'm getting fully patched, and there's no way that score is right. I don't know if my DL got screwed up or if my installation didn't go well (I'll be honest, I dozed off a couple times while it was installing) but the crap is jacked up somehow, and there's no way those scores are right?

Right?....
