Also note that "about" I put in there, it makes a difference. Learn to read.

I only say this:

And EVO isn't "much quieter" like you said: "The Themis is a bit louder than the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO; however, the difference is just 3 dBA, which, while noticeable, is not drastic." , and that is only at full rpm. If enable PWM control in the BIOS and with a normal use it isn't as noisy.

Anyways, if he wants a quieter cooler for only a few more $, Raijintek has other model: Raijintek Ereboss.

Well, I'm just so incredibly sorry that I didn't bother to dedicate my time to researching something with a marginal difference, just because some random linked it.
Themis gets slightly lower temps for a bit more noise. I was just talking about my picks from OPs list.
And then there's the part you seem to have missed entirely, again.

Thanks a lot for all this advices smile.gif

Anyway i took a loot at the ambient temp of my room at the moment and also the cpu/motherboard temp

The above temperatures are while having 23 °C room temp (ambient) and also running Eclipse + CS: Go (Eclipse is running for the last 5 days andi havent shut down my PC yet as it hasnt finished university experiments)

Why there is a difference on the temp numbers between ASUS software and CoreTemp ? Which one should i trust ?

P.S. Raijintek "Themis" or "Themis EVO" (i suppose u talk about EVO one) ? Still havent decided if this or CM Evo or something else

Neither, all sensors on your PC are "close enough", and the software reads sensors differently. Unless you have a calibrated temperature probe probe in there, you'll never know for absolute certain, But it's probably around 57c. Or close. Just split the difference and hope for the best.

1) Get the latest beta of HWiNFO64.

2) If you have the latest BIOS for your motherboard then I would trust the ASUS utility.

3) Regarding the CPU cooler : personally, I would prefer to purchase a good CPU cooler like the Noctua you've mentioned or another similar one and take out the side panel fan -or evem remove the side panel completely! - than getting a weaker CPU cooler just to "save" an ordinary side panel fan... Remember : a good CPU cooler can last you for up to....ten years!

I finally made up my desicion but then i started scratching the "Case fit" thing a bit and now i am not sure if CoolerMaster 212 Evo will fit...

Will it cause a big problem to put the CM 212 Evo on NZXT Apollo case or not?
Maybe i could take off the side 120mm fan and place the one in front panel ?

Apart from CM 212 Evo which one would u suggest me that is smaller and may fit better to my case but almost the same as good as CM 212 evo ?

P.S. This guy HEREhas the same Case+Evo with me so i think wont be a problem. Does it bother to be the CPU cooler like in the pictures that he has there ?

Just as a point of reference, I have an 8350 slightly overclocked (4.5 GHz), and undervolted (-0.025). It's in a 540 Air with three GTX 970's, all Folding 24/7. Using Zalman CNPS14x heatsink with two additional 120mm fans; ambient temps are ~65 F. CPU averages 65-68 F, sometimes peaking up to 72 during short bursts.

Ok i think i am going to end up buying Cooler Master 212 Evo.

The only thing that troubles me a bit is the space in my case. I found another guy that has the same Case + CPU Cooler and it has a picture of it. Says its ok
Take a look in the picture i post that comes from the guy with the same Specs as mine

What u guys think ? Should i go for it ?

I quote what he said:
Quote:
The airflow on this case is great once you add a 3rd fan in front of the case. Reaching as high as 48c during gaming and about 34c when idle. I replaced the rear fan with a Antec blue led fan and added the intake fan in the front. I also reversed the stock side fan from intake to exhaust as i heard its better to have more exhaust than intake. I have to mention though that the instructions for the screw less design in the case was pretty unclear, and I had to break a piece of plastic off to install the GPU in, before realizing my dumb mistake lol. I also need to mention that the CPU cooler barely fits in the case and it is sitting on top of the side fan. If the fan was placed any higher than the position it is now, then the cooler would not fit.

More cooling is always recommended if it fits. Go for it!
