Hello!
Im looking for a good cheap and good looking board for OC a 8320FX to 5ghz level.

I have been looking for the new 970 board but i don´t know if they are any good... They look sweet...

Also is the Gigabyte UD5 R5 any good?

Thanks in advance...

that should do if the chip can even clock that high. don't forget a good cpu cooler either.

GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3P  is the only 970  board worth looking at

the UD5 is a good choice if you can get it for a good price

Hi!
Thanks for the reply...

I have here a GB 990XA-UD3 Rev 3.0
But its blue!
My case is Black and Red, so i want to go on the theme...

Also i have problems with 4 dimms with diferent timming... don´t boot... they are 1600mhz...
On pair they work, with both pairs the board don´t boot.

For cooling i have a Triton with AF 120 and a alphacool 240 30mm Rad.

Best Regards,

LPC

what memory kits are they? you may have to manually set the timings that are compatible
to both. bumping the vcore may also help.

The UD3 rev3 is a dud. Lose that turkey and get something decent. The UD5 is a good board by all accounts.

Hi!
Even with voltage uped to 1.65v and manual timmings the board simply don´t boot!

They are 4x2gb (8 gb total)... Im now runing with 4gb only...

you could go with one of the red asrock boards such as the Fatal1ty 990FX Killer or Fatal1ty 970 Performance which also have m.2 slots and would fit your red/black theme

the Asus SaberTooth R2 is a good choice

i was referencing the cpu vcore. the memory controller is in the cpu and may need a little more voltage with four sticks.
up the vcore, save and exit. shut down and add the second set.

worth a try,. smile.gif
