AIO Lifetime?

Thread Starter
Hi all,

I have an Antec 620 AIO that I've had for I think around 3 years now.

I was just wondering how long these things last. I have no reason to upgrade, it's a fantastic cooler, however I am worried about any potential fails/leaks due to age.

How long do these things last?

Thanks.

Cant really tell, but most likely the pump will fail first. If the tubes havent leaked yet, they might not leak at all.

H50 going since 2009/10.

It leaking is a concern, tubing and connections look fine

Of the 4 AIO's I've purchased (all NZXT), so far one has failed in 18 months. The other three are still running. I bought all 4 at the same time. The pump failed ... no leaks.

I use a big hunk of metal called the NH-D14, I don't bother with such worries.

Well, there's a reason Corsair gives a 5 year warranty. And considering nearly all of them are made by Asetek, expect more than 6 years at least.

Yes, some fail. But if they don't fail in the first months, they are very unlikely to fail before they are old/replaced.

If it leaks, I highly doubt corsair will replace that mobo and cpu when it gets fried. smile.gif

maybe 100-150 dollars worth, but no more, companies be sting,y sure there a few good examples they may throw out, but the avg joe calling in wont get any help

For those people that don't want to read through the whole thread to find out what happened with the RMA process, here is a quick summary.

Corsair initially offered me a replacement or refund for the H100, $150 for my damaged GTX 670 and a free 120gb SSD drive (in the end I did not claim damages for the motherboard).

Note that according to a new Corsair policy, the $150 offered for my damaged GTX 670 was was maximum amount of compensation they could offer for a damaged GPU. It was this new policy of limiting compensation given for parts damaged by a leaking cooler (or in some other situations) that caused the most contention on this thread as it seems that prior to this thread most people (including myself) were under the impression that they would get full compensation for parts damaged by a leaking Corsair closed loop cooler as that had been the case in the past.

However, approximately 7 weeks after starting this thread, numerous emails to Corsair, some involvement from the shop I purchased the H100 from, assistance from CorsairGeorge, and most importantly, overwhelming support and interest from a lot of people on this forum... Corsair finally agreed to compensate me in full for both the H100 and the GTX 670.

It is not clear to me where things currently stand with the new policy of limiting compensation given for damage to components now though I think it's fair to say that Corsair will treat and evaluate any case on an individual basis. If I hear anything else about it I will update this thread.
