2 SAPPHIRE Vapor-X SLI?

Hello

I was wondering if it worth putting 2 SAPPHIRE Vapor-X Radeon R9 270X 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 in SLI. I am not looking for a high end graphic card and i plan keeping this card for at least 4 years. My first option was a Gigabyte Radeon R9 290 Windforce 3x 947MHZ 4GB, but after reading some reviews I am not sure if I should go for it. So far the reviews for the SAPPHIRE Vapor-X are really good.

how about this . . .

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=R9+290&N=-1&isNodeId=1

can't wait for the R9 300 series?

Also, forget about 2GB cars. the 290 is about equal to 2 270X.

I need more information to be able to help you properly. What resolution are you going to be using. and what type of work / game are you going to be using. also verify if it is the same motherboard that you have in your signature rig or not.

Looks good, especially on the cpu oc. the 290 is about equal to 4 6900s.

As others have said you'll be much better off getting a 290(X) for the same price or less than 2 270X's, if Xfire worked perfectly then it'd be around the same performance but as it doesn't the 290 should wipe the floor with the 270X's and will have more vram for the future so will last longer.

EDIT: I don't know the prices in the US, but if the 970 is about the same as a 290 then you'll be better off getting that as Wow is pretty Nvidia bias.

I found the following card on sale 100$ discount!

http://www.ncix.com/detail/gigabyte-radeon-r9-290-oc-87-93517-1382.htm

The reviews are not so good, but maybe reviews doesn't mean anything? =) and fans noise seem horrible.

I really like saphire so maybe i will just go with this one.

I could wait for the R9 300 series, but its going to be expensive for a card.

Get this

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202080&cm_re=290-_-14-202-080-_-Product

Slightly cheaper than the powercolor one, is a reference design so will take any reference style waterblocks but still has a great cooler (the TriX is pretty much silent) and uses quality components!
