Project: 810 Refresh

Well I've had my Switch 810 for a couple years now. I recently built a new system. I was going to get a new case. But honestly, I couldn't find any I really liked, or make a decision. I still like my case, so I decided to give it a "refresh" with the new components.

Its the Gunmetal grey version. And the front and top panels are light grey.

I painted the front and top panels matte black. To match the MSI XPower yellow accents, and 290X Lightning. I painted the yellow accents, and the bottom vents, and added mesh screening on the top cover and painted that yellow.

I just finished removing all the masking tape. Boy was that a job. Took 3 days for all the painting. I just left all the compents in there. I must have did a good job masking, because no overspray got on anything.

I like the final result, it looks like a brand new case again.

When I changed from blue light bar and blue fans. I changed out all the fans to NZXT 140mm white LED. When I got the white LED strip the acrylic window was all scratched up and the white LEDs really showed that. So I went to my local window shop and had them cut me a real window the same shape as the acrylic one. Only cost me $10. Next step is to install the new window.

The Corsair HX850 is semi-moduler. So I'm replacing that with the new HX850i full modular. And then get the Cablemod yellow/black sleeved cables for it. I'll get this done in a couple of weeks.

Anyways, here's some pics, let me know what y'll think?

Holy SHEIT Batman, I just looked at your switch. That looks amazing, really like the black and orange. Please don't tell me you got rid of it.
