Question about aligning fitting components [Acrylic Loop]

Thread Starter
Hey guys - I had a quick question about using angled fittings.

I'm about to bend for my build, but for a couple of the really tight spots I'm using a 45 or 90 degree fitting (bitspower). I'm finding things like... the natural stopping point in tightening the 90 degree fitting is EXACTLY the opposite direction of where I need it to go. I get that you don't need to have the parts EXTREMELY tight... but to turn a fitting 180 degrees from where it stops due to hand tightening to get it to point the direction you need... seems like a very risky prospect.

I would appreciate any feedback or experiences similar to mine that you guys can provide.

Thank you!

That's exactly what you have rotaries for!

Just get a rotary angled fitting, or add in-line rotary (a.k.a. anti-twist) anywhere to make things rotate the way you need:

Yeah that is exactly why rotary fittings exist. You can sometimes get away with it if you double up on o-rings or use thicker ones.
