Hello hypespazm, do you still use 3930K? Can you hit 5GHz with H110? I use H110 too but so far only managed reaching 4.9GHz 1.41volt and benching with firestrike, max temp 71c.
Abit afraid to hit 5GHz ^_^ maybe 1.45volt or more will be needed... I concern about the temp, wondering how high it could be.

Btw sorry OOT about my qestion to hypespazm....but I guess this thread is solved a few months ago??

Thread Starter
yeah I got a 4790K in the end. Lower power consumption, higher stock clocks + newer architecture + newer IMC = better single threaded performance, which is still the thing for DX11. I didn't even have to OC, I just set base clock to 4400MHz instead of 4000MHz - that was the whole OC. thumb.gif

dude I made a custom waterloop and I can still hit the same... but not better I really honestly believe the h110 is as good as it gets as for water cooling, at least in my environment Florida. soo just the fact that u hit 4.9 STABLE? is amazing dont worry about 5ghz... in all honesty your just killing your chip!!

3930K still eats up the 4790K IMO ive gone to the test against people i know... its all just number though at the end of the day.. if you are gaming then more gaming will be optimized for 4 cores.... if you arent tho 6 core HT will almost always eat it up but... 3930K if you can find cheaper than a 4770 or 4790K is worth it.. if not there are some features that can make 4790K worth.. in the end im not a fan of haswell arc

im curious to see results as over here 3930k is very very cheap

No MAn, 4.9GHz just tested Firestrike with physic test biggrin.gif ofcourse not stable 100% or for daily usage. I just wanna get stable for benching...that's all. 5GHz probably needs 1.45 - 1.48volt I guess and other settings need to be changed.
Daily I run 4.5GHz with 1.29volt....maybe later trying to hit daily 4.7 or 4.8GHz....hmm OK I guess this H110 can still benching at 5GHz.

Btw now I run 4.6GHz daily with 1.32volt ... I hope it quite stable ^_^, I only change these :
- CPU internal PLL : Enabled
-Vcore : 1.320v
-Vdroop : +100%
-Vccsa : 1.0020v (I found SB-E tutorial in this forum and it says that intel recommend the difference of Vcore and Vccsa needed to be around 0.4 - 0.3v for maximum stability...if I let default it is 0.880v)
-Overspeed protection : Disabled
-All cores I set to 46.
-RAM speed : 1600MHz
-RAM timing : Link (9-9-9-27-1T)
-RAM voltage : 1.650v and 1.65v

That is all hypespazm.

Note : I found that OC with all cores set to 46 (turbo clock method) is more stable then OC with direct changing CPU ratio to 46.

dude thank so much Im gonna give the a try i think 1.4 for 4.6 is just too much 1.32 is much more justifiable since im already running that for regular 3.8
