Crossover 44K UHD LED 40 Inch Monitor? - Page 223

My Crossover 404K has developed vertical banding, very noticeable and distracting in everyday work and in games. Before this the monitor was fully perfect with no dead pixels and no banding, just some light clouding that didn't bother me.

I''ve contacted Dreamseller to ask about the warranty. Otherwise I'm up **** creek and will have to look for another good pwm-free 40-incher.

Keep in mind you have 45 days to open up an Ebay claim and then 6 months for a Paypal claim. If you purchased with a credit card through paypal you may have additional warranty coverage options through them. I purchased my first 44k through dream seller and it had a bad display port. I had to open up a case with ebay to force him to send me a shipping label and then again for the refund.

Just checking, are you using your own display-port cable? The one included with the monitor is reported to be rather iffy and have negative effects on syncing... something else to try before trying to return it.

Wow that banding is pretty bad. How long have you had it mjoe? I received my 404K from dream-seller last friday and I have nothing but good things to say thus far... I cant find any bad pixels (non-pixel perfect version) and only minor BL bleed. I hope nothing happens I need this thing to last awhile!

I've had it for 3 months. The band is 320 pixels wide, so exactly 1/12th of the screen. Thus, it points to one of the IC boards being bad. I'm using an Accell displayport cable, so I could try using the displayport cable it shipped with or HDMI, but I suspect the problem is really with the board.

Dreamseller says he's sent my photos off to Crossover. I paid via paypal so maybe talking with them will be an option.

You will need to be firm with dream seller. If he begins to stall, make sure and file a claim with Paypal.

Whats the best vesa stand to get for this (living in the UK); not an arm but a stand that sits on a desk?

I use a pair of long door stop wedges under the panel legs to tilt my screen down my desk by 5-10°
