Sorry Ha Ha I'm quoting myself. I Saw this on an Ebay site which pretty clearly calls it a monitor but then goes on to mix up descriptions of the set. Its really a televison with no DP .. The seller is EtradeKorea, they hash up the description badly and as you go through the description it morphs from monitor to TV with a sidetrip to the Crossover 44k no kidding what a mess.
I apologize for jumping the gun

I get the impression the Korean vendors are surfing an imaginary wave regarding CO 44k demand.

I own a Crossover now and I've had no issues with it in 2 years. I love it.
out Yamaski but take that with a whole salt shaker.

As for the 44k, the rumor is that that panel is currently unavailable and may never come back in stock.

I was interested in them when I could get it on amazon for 599 and then use the % off I get. to make it even better. I'm not really interested in dropping 7-800$ on a different brand to be real honest.

I'm with you on the initial CO pricing. The CO is worth it at $599 but at $1999.99 is a total laugh but there it is on EBAY. If I could get one at $600 I'd put the trigger (again) but....for $600 you really don't get a top flight panel but you do get great value.

Its the same old story though. New stuff is just about to be released with the latest DP 1.3, HDMI 2.0, and 5k . I'm building another hi-end system and can wait a bit for the good stuff. I busted a display swapping in the CO and need to replace now. I just opted for a cheap 28" 4k TN display with good (enough) connectivity and a good (enough) feature set supporting multi system display on one monitor. The CO 44k will be my main monitor on the new system everything else will migrate downstream. When the new monitors and cards come out in the fall I'll jump in for something better.

I sold my CO 44k for a pretty big number. It was a bit bittersweet. I made a good chunk of $$$ off it but now I am back in the hunt for a monitor that can even compare. I was spoiled with those black levels and 40".

I feel like we are on the cusp of a huge waves of awesome 4k and other Korean models. My ultimate monitor dream:

40" Ultrawide Glossy with 4k res thumb.gif

That being said, do I go Wasabi Mango? Do I wait until single GPUs can drive 4k better? /1st World Problems

Hey digital force, I am interested in your take, you said you have owned alot of 4K monitors and tried them all. You concluded the CO was one of the best you tried but can you tell me exactly why?

Then also why did you sell it. I have only used the LG 31MU97 and the Philips. Like you mentioned the LG does have a gorgeous picture, but I took the Philips because the 40" was alot more immersive for gaming, I feel 31" is too small for 4k gaming.

I was also tempted to get a Wasabi Mango and try it but decided not to for the time being. Hopefully you do lol smile.gif

Definitely think we're going to see low(ish) cost large 4K monitors over the next year or two. We are just at the beginning of 4K and already some products are surprisingly affordable.

The only monitors I have not tried that I am interested in are the Wasabi Mango (42" is just too big for my desk and doesn't it use PWM?) and some of BenQ's offerings. I have the BenQ 32" 4K on the way and the BenQ 32" QHD (I can upscale to 4k using DSR) to try out next week.

On the CO, it had the deepest blacks and most impressive size for the price. I only sold it due to pure capitalism biggrin.gif It is very bright and that has been the biggest complaint for most peeps.

Hello guys, i have intel from the korean ebay sellers. The crossover 44k is not in stock that's why they have priced it so high, i guess they can't take the item down yet? The good news is they informed me the new version of this monitor will be available the 2nd week of june.

Now the great news for me is that just today 5/22/15 dream seller found the last crossover 44k monitor the manufacturer could spare and sold it to me for $699! WOOOHOO!biggrin.gif

The bad news for me is due to some religious holidays in his country he wont ship it until monday.redface.gif
