malwarebytes can't do dick about bitcoin trojans. rogue killer is the only thing that worked for me, and it never let me down.

I'm not sure about that one. Only thing I have installed is steam, Dying light, Bf3,bf4, origin, nvidia drivers, and logitech drivers for mouse and keyboard. I don't have any shady software :s

PoormansPC did you change the video settings or your monitor resolution between the move?  My guess is that your 280X was the limiting factor before and now you have removed that limit with the 980 and the cpu is now the limiting factor (the CPU is NOT negatively affecting performance I assume?)

edit: just seen that you said the pc freezes sometimes.  I would try to remove all drivers and start over.  Also one question, why do you have a 4690K and GTX 980 but game at 1600x900?  That pc is good for up to and inclusing 2560x1440p res?
Yes, my monitor only goes up to 1600x900

OT - I really hate BF4.  The game was broke from the start and they never fixed it.

Thanks for the advice. I'll give those both a shot. And I meant the game itself freezes, not the entire pc.
