IN WIN S FRAME: to buy or not to buy?

Thread Starter
So I am planning on doing a new pc build for myself this June/July. I have had my eye on the inwin s frame for a while now, and I just cant decide if I should pick one up or not.

I understand from reviews it doesnt have the best component layout, but that doesnt bother me. I cant decide if its worth the $750 or if its just crazy overpriced because its limited edition?

Obviously I could afford the case, but that doesnt make spending $750 on JUST A CASE any easier....I need some thoughts and input!

It's hard to recommend a case that has form over function. Its a beautiful case to some and not so to others. It really comes down to whether you think its worth the cost. I myself love Caselabs cases and others think I'm crazy to spend that much for a case with "no style". I think you already made up your mind on wanting the case you just need support telling you to do it. I cant give it to you because I stopped liking them in general after the whole Caselabs copy cat fiasco.wink.gif

As stated above I am in the same boat, lost some respect with the Caselabs copies. I will forever be a Caselabs owner. For 750 you could set up a good CL chassis

I would personally let my budget really determine it. If I were to be able to get that as well as all the components I wanted, I would go for it. But if it would require me to get weaker components such as a GTX 970 instead of the Titan X or an i5 4690k z97 system instead of the 5930k x99 system I would not get it. (just an example)

No way I'd shell 750$ on something like this. But I'd happily buy 750$ caselabs Magnum double wide...
I really didn't want to make this a Caselabs is better thread. I guess its hard not to compare because of the price range.

Price, bad components layout, mediocre looks, "limited" tag... Just no.

If you like they way it looks then go for it. I changed from a cm 690 II to an In Win 904 and I don't regret it. However I only payed £150 ($250).
Also if you buy a case like that you probably will keep it for a 5 years or more. Mine looks so good that I don't think I will ever want to change it.

I have previously looked at caselabs and they look awesome, with great quality (what I have heard atleast). I dont NEED to spend $700 on a case, if I found something I like for $300 by all means I would get it. Just wanted thoughts on the s frame. Looks like the general consensus is it is overpriced for what you get.

And yes spending that kind of money on a case would more or less affect the components I would buy. My total budget is anywhere from 2-2.5k.

How do you like your 904? I hear mixed things about those too. Never owned an in win case before.
