MSI X99S SLI Plus

Thread Starter
Is on sale for 179 + 20 dollar mail in rebate to drop it down to 159...

Been wanting to make the jump to X99. Is this board still worth the money or should I look at something else?

Personally I would rather go for a Gigabyte or Asus... Dont trust MSI too much after having a couple of bad experiences.

Couldn't agree more with this statement. EVGA, Asus, Gigabyte. Nothing else exist outside these 3 for me.

i havent had a problem in past with prior msi boards but that was also 8-10 years ago. Not a fan of gigabyte looks that kills it for me and evga as nice as they look for the price i think they are missing features.

Never tried EVGA but I think their line up is pretty limited as you say...

I really enjoy MSI boards. OCing is quick and easy, they look nice and I think they perform well. After a power surge took down my computer they RMA'd the mobo and had it back to me within about 7 days. Same thing happened with a friend of mine, he sent it out and it was back before the end of the week.
