I have an fx6300 with an msi 970 gaming motherboard with an msi r9 980 3gb twin froz gpu and an xfx ts 550w full wired 80 bronze psu now the psu has two 8 pins connector and i see one 6 pin connector but on that same wire there another 6 pin connector so can i plug one of the 8 pin to the mother power and then the other 8 pin to the gpu and then one of the pcie 6 pins to the gpu will that work?

@cysquatch well one of the 8pin is full 8 pin the other is divided into 2 4 pin connectors and they look just like the gpu and the motherboard no difference

It's the other way around. The 4+4 one is to the motherboard because there's motherboards that only have 4-pin power for the CPU socket.
My PSU is intended for a single graphics card and has two cables where instead of a 6+2 connector it has one 6-pin and one 8-pin connector on the same cable. For something like that, you are not supposed to use both of those connectors. You are supposed to use it as if it's a 6+2 connector, meaning only ever the 6-pin or the 8-pin connector on the cable.
The 4+4 is for the CPU connector at the top of the motherboard.
The connectors should be labeled PCI-E that go to your graphics card. You should only have one 4+4 connector, and three 6+2 connectors according to the newegg page. The 4+4 gors to the top of the motherboard. the 6+2 connectors connect to your graphics card. the plastic connections are also keyed differently so you should not be able to insert them into the wrong slot anyhow unless you force them in.

Ok am really confuse right now cuz there are only two 6 pin that have pcie on them but they are on the same cable and on that same cable there is a 2 pin and then there are 2x 8 pin connectors one 4x4 and then on straight 8 pin
