yes and no AMD for video editing and such is the best option for the money the 8 core AMD are rendering / editing monsters this is where they shine and Intel are equally as good or better at the sake of additional cost so for the OP's needs the AMD will suit him perfectly and will edit / render out video like a beast.

AMD 8 cores are monsters at multithreaded workloads like video editing and rendering out video and such this is where they get huge gains / perks over theyre single thread performance multithreading on AMD 8 cores is where they shine simply put.

would recommend just grabbing a pair of cas 9 1866/2133 or sometimes you can find some cas 8 1866

Thanks everyone, I actually ordered the ASUS Sabertooth mobo. So Ill see if I can return this new ASRock or just sell it. I installed it so not sure if I can return it even though it never seen power.

I also ordered the RAM that was mentioned. So once the rest comes in I will be ready to rock and roll. Than comes the learning of setting up the mobo UEFI, but will do some researching in the meantime. If someone knows of a good YT tutorial I can watch please feel free to post.

I wish my friend was still alive that knew so much about this, but hes no longer with us and its time I start learning all the ins and outs of the software part myself

I again, thank you ALL for all your help thus far, its really appreciated.

do 4x 4gb not 2x 8gb the 2x 8gb add strain to the IMC and will put you in single channel mode which will hamper your video editing / rendering performance you want dual channel add to it the looser timings of the 8gb sticks will also reduce performance.

notice the adobe premiere and after effects results get better significantly with dual channel http://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/1349-ram-how-dual-channel-works-vs-single-channel/Page-3

Darn, I already ordered the sticks! I can see if I can cancel, I wanted to add another set to make it a total of 32 gbs, no good huh?

no 8gb sticks will pose stability issues usually at 32gb on the 9590 it is very sensitive because it has such a high OEM OC and regardless 4x 4gb will offer you best performance due to tighter timings and I don't see you going over 16gb of ram usage anytime soon even if editing several projects at once and running virtual machines and such 16gb is plenty.

streaming and playing games with also some video editing and rendering on the side after the gaming / streaming of course I have yet to use over 12gb of ram I rarely go over 8gb of ram usage.
