R9 290 UEFI Reference BIOS

Thread Starter
Howdy,

Does anyone have a reference 290 BIOS image that supports UEFI features such as GOP? It looks like my Sapphire reference card shipped with a Legacy-type of BIOS that doesn't support some of the UEFI features (therefore I can't sufficiently use Fast Boot and similar).

I tried reaching out to Sapphire support but they were completely useless frown.gif

I've seen a few on the TechPowerUp BIOS archive but they don't seem to be wholly descriptive.

Thanks.

That makes absolutely zero sense.

The reference model has no UEFI BIOS.Only the Sapphire TRI-X R9 290 OC (UEFI) has a UEFI BIOS.

Here are some different BIOS versions(find the one that suits your card the most): http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/product_index.aspx?cid=1&gid=3&sgid=1227&pid=2091&lid=1

Also choose only the Tri-X OC versions, because they're supposed to be UEFI

Here is the original reference UEFI bios for 290 (non-X)

http://1drv.ms/1GTxurg

Fuzzy version has the "advanced fan control" which tries to keeps the noise minimized until the temperatures reach the threshold.
The lookup version has the older fan control method with three different T/P switching points.

Thank you very much The Stilt. biggrin.gif I have had the reference R9 290 from XFX and they would not give a UEFI bios at all. (Buy a new card they said. mad.gif) I flashed with the bios you provided and it works great. (I used the ladder one just to keep it as default as possible.)

Can I use this BIOS with my Powercolor Refence card?
