Looking to upgrade 560 ti

Thread Starter
Hey guys--I've got a system with a 560ti in it. I just got GTA V and am noticing the performance is a little lacking. I game at 1080p and have no plans to go above that for the time being.

My first thought was to pick up a 970, but the upgrade isn't super urgent and I'm wondering if it would make more sense to wait. The 970's have been out since September, and I heard that new AMD cards may be coming up in June. A 970 would probably be pushing my budget a bit, but I've heard it's great performance/dollar.

The system was built back in 2012. 2500k, 8 GB RAM, 650W PSU. Running Windows 7.

Thoughts and advice greatly appreciated!

A r9 390x would be overkill for 1080 60hz.

Get a r9 290 or r9 290x the pcs+ is 250usd at newegg
Wanted: Wanted: R9 290/X/R9 390/X
