Xion II PSU died.

Thread Starter
I saw it coming... as the reviews said it died in 4-6 months and it did. The bad thing is, I didn't prepare... So I have basically no comp besides this Pentium III until I get a new PSU. I need a 450w or + PSU for around $50. This is what I'm looking at so far.

That is a great PSU! 2 of my friends have it. Ones powering a E6600, X1950 pro, 1HD and 1 DVD-RW drive with no problems. The other is a Athlon 64 3000+, X1900GT, 1 HD and 1 DVD-RW drive. The rails are stable as hell, good aps on both 12v rails. Best PSU for under $60

NO. DO NOT DO THAT. Like all other crappy PSU's, if it dies, it will take your whole system down too. Just stick with the FSP you found, beats ANY PSU in its price range

I'd get:

FSP Group Blue Storm 400W - $50

I would not get companies like Xion or Rosewell for Power Supplies, because they do not have very many Amps and they are not made with quality first. I'd get a FSP Group Blue Storm, OCZ GameXStream, or SeaSonic S12 Power Supply with your needs.

Hipro 500W for $36.50 is really good for the money, had it in my AMD rig and it was perfect..many others have it around here too, never heard a bad thing about it..

That FSP ran my rig for a month or two, it's great. Still chugging along in my sister's rig.

I just tested the Xion PSU by turning on the PSU without the mobo with the green cable and the ground and w/e...

I plugged in a 80mm fan and it ran just fine. Could it still be the PSU???

The Power Supply might recieve the power from the Power Cord, however, there could be an internal problem, like a chip(s) is fried, so, I'd suggested testing it on a different system.
