CRYORIG announces the H5 Ultimate. Based on the acclaimed H5 Universal, CRYORIG has extended the successful Hive Fin base H series line with the CRYORIG H5 Ultimate. The H5 Ultimate features the same award winning features as the original H5 Universal, but with a larger XF140 140mm fan and new jet black heatsink covers. The larger XF140 increases the H5 Ultimate's TDP from 160 to 180watt, putting the proprietary Hive Fin system to work. Together with the acclaimed MultiSeg mounting system, the H5 Ultimate will be the strongest single tower solution CRYORIG has up to date.

The H5 Ultimate is scheduled to be released this summer, MSRP set at 46.99 USD in North America and 39.99 Euros in Germany, other regions may vary.

I really like Cryorig's cooling design, but alas it is not available in my country.

guess that would depend how you quantify performance. it's gonna beat the 212 EVO out, by how much is the right question. according to TPU the H5 universal offers better price/performance than the 212 EVO. given that this version will cost the same and cool better, that can't get any worse relative to the 212 EVO.

i'd gladly take my current HR-02 rev.B over a hyper evo212. and that cooler rolls in around the same price this new h5 comes in at. so i'll be interested to see the benching numbers.

Vanilla Ice cream? That's just the crappier version of chocolate ice cream.

46.99 USD puts it up against the Thermalright Macho 120 (~$44-50) , Thermalright Macho (~$50) , Phanteks PH-TC14S (~$45-50), Be quiet! Shadow Rock Slim (~$45-50) , Be quiet! Shadow rock 2 (~$45-50), Prolimatech Basic 81 that looks like Megahalems ($53), and Thermalright True Spirit 140 Power ($55).

At the same time, discounted Phanteks PH-TC14PE goes for about $60-70.

Right now their Cryorig H5A goes for $47.

The biggest difference here is the H5 Universal does not have the larger XF140 140 mm fan

H5 Universal didn't fare too well with 130W CPUs
But seems fine for quads

Tuniq tower extreme = 3 PCS High Performance 8mm and 2PCS High Performance 6mm U-shaped Heatpipes
Direct contact heatpipes

Cryorig H5 Ultimate = 6mm heatpipe x 4 units
Pure copper base with nickel plating

Is that what you are talking about?

Tried to oc it as in tried to achieve a reasonable temperature while oc'ed with a Zalman cnps11x then with an ID-Cooling FI-REEX (which is really a very good air cooler with bad finishing, I'd say on par with the nh-d14, by comparing results of the FI-REEX on my cpu with results of the noctua from other people).
My goal was to also have it as silent as possible @4.2ghz.
