I'm using 1080p now and need a temporary GPU for gaming. I don't want to add additional cost because I will make a transition to either the Asus ROG Swift 27", 4K, IPS, 60Hz, G-Gynce or either the Acer Predator 34" or X35 when they are released this year. If Acer X35 is 1080p, I won't buy it. I don't mind the 34" IPS being 75Hz. I've never gamed above 60Hz so it won't make any difference to me.
The card does have lifetime warranty. I don't like taking risk with buying used hardware. I don't really know what's it's been through.
And no, It's a temporary GPU until Accer Predator comes out with the 34" or X35. The other option is Asus ROG Swift 27", 4K, IPS, G-Sync, 60Hz. Then I'll be getting either 2 GTX 980 TI or a single AMD R9 390X if these large monitors require them.
Well thank goodness it has a lifetime warranty on it just in case it acts out on someone I sell it to. I only expect to use this card until the Acer Predator monitors and GTX 980 TI or AMD R9 395X2 is released. Until then I'll be on my 1080p monitor with this temporary card.
I just noticed that it uses 50W more than the 7950. Not that it matters. I have a Corsair AX850W PSU.
Does my Asus P8Z68 PRO/GEN support PCI Express 3.0? I don't see it on the manual. Is it the same as PCIx16_3? The web says my MOBO does but I don't see any slots on the MOBO manual that simply says PCI Express 3.0.
I'm just confused because the MOBO doesn't have any slot that says PCe 3.0. But I'm pretty sure the slot I'll be using the the one nearest to the CPU. And yeah, I don't understand what he meant by revision.

Thanks. I don't have any CPU intensive games that I play. How much more powerful is the 280 over 250? I once had the HD 7770 before it died on me. Will I notice a difference? I'm not a PC techie so plain language would help.
