First of all, setup:
8350
990xa-ud3 rev 3.0
MSI 7950 boost
2x4 GB kingston ram 1800mhz
xfx pro550w
Everything is on stock atm including bios (optimized defaults, only XMP is selected, rest is on auto)
So how crashes go?
Let's say i run prim95 any test. It will usually run for 2 min to several hours without problem but suddenly, pc will will crash with black screen and reboot. Duration of the test is completely random. No errors in prime, just crash. Sometimes will instacrash in first seconds of stress test.
Same thing happens in occt in any CPU or PSU test. However, if i only stress gpu, there will be no crashing or any problems whatsoever.
In high cpu usage games, the game can randomly crash. For example GTA V, some days it doesn't crash at all, some days it crashes several times a day. Less cpu intensive games dont crash at all (dota, witcher, skyrim, indie stuff etc...)
There is a trick to crash pc instantly during prime, occt or during any high cpu usage program. While the test is running if i start any game, or video in mpchc - instant crash.
So far I've tried memtest - no errors
prime - no errors
Temps are all great, cpu doesnt go over 50C
I tried playing with clocks -
4,4@+0,025 - identical
4.3@+0,050 - same thing
everything is on auto now in bios
I tryed downclocking 5-6 months ago and if i remember correctly prime+mpc-hc trick crashing stopped around 2.5-3GHZ at stock voltages
I flashed bios to diferent version. Reinstalled chipset and gpu drivers.
I really have no idea what could be causing this. This **** is happening for a year now. Could it be mbo or psu? What to test, how to test, what to do? Help!
BTW here is imgur album of recent occt short run to check if voltage drops are normal. https://imgur.com/a/aDSCN
