I hate throwing good money away and since they lost a package that should've been returned to my doorstep when it couldn't be delivered I try whenever possible to avoid them like the plague. thumb.gif

There's AmbientCPU that's based in Portland, but again they have a quite limited selection.

That and a Fry's. But I won't do either one due to Fry's selling previously used parts as new and Ambient's lack of EK, Monsoon and Bitspower parts.

If these things change, that's when I will entertain purchasing from them. wink.gif

The Fry's stores clearly mark previously opened products, usually by wrapping a plastic band around them. I don't use Fry's much because the two local stores have perpetual stockout issues and trying to find anything on their website is next to impossible due to their pathetic search engine (let's say that if the search engine was a person, that person would get twice the wear from a toilet seat). Pretty much the only time I ever buy anything from Fry's is when I'm visiting friends in San Marcos, CA and go to the store near them (it's much better run)

Good luck on shipping costs. USPS went up 9.4% on Priority mail January 17th... So ppcs is driving it to us now...

Where do you see this? I just checked on PayPal and it costs me $6.10 to ship a small flat-rate box. Used to be 5.25.

Hi all -

New to the site but have been lurking for about a year. Since we are not far away from the ModMyMods.com discussion I wanted to chime in. I live in Rochester, NY and actually went to their warehouse. There are 3 former FrozenCPU employees that that are working it. There is no affiliation with Mark Friga Jr.

The warehouse is a good size, probably 1000 sq. ft. and they try to do right by the customer. They physically stock most Alphacool, Barrow, Mayhems, and Phobya products. The rest are drop ship at this moment.

I have attached a picture to prove that this place exists and I actually have a video of myself introducing the warehouse if anyone is interested in seeing it?

Thanks for listening all.

Welcome to OCN! I'd be interested in seeing their warehouse. I've only seen the PPCs warehouse via Google maps.

:thumb:Thanks for the welcome. Sure thing! I will upload the video shortly. I have to host it in my cloud since it is too big to email.

See the video below using the link to my dropbox:

Please let me know if this is not working. Also, as a disclaimer, I do not work for, nor have been paid to say anything for ModMyMods. I just like that we have another alternative for watercooling parts (and I love that they are 15 mins from my house!)

Lol yeah. That's about 9% increase according to my math. Google the increase. I build websites everyday, I knew about the increase in December... I use Shippingeasy as my online carrier and they have been having problems with Endicia since the increase..

Yeah, I cant agree more. I got adata DDR4 mem from the once, the dude selling me it told me over and over that it was new, even though it looked like the packaging had been messed with, and I wound up having dead mem for a build I had been saving up cash for for about 6 months.

I think it's a regional thing or even down to the local courier in your region. For what it's worth, I've had far more unpleasant experiences with UPS than USPS in my area.
