Give andromeda some time, its new and buggy still. That new update has my glitching hard though.. Im oy up to the bit after first Eos missions but honestly enjoying it.
Cons= Glitches in performance, combat isnt as fluid as previius games in the series, characters dont seem as deep as previous. But I am enjoying it so far/expecting it to get better.
For me I loved ME2 the most by far. Story was so much more in depth but varied at the same time.
ME2>ME1>ME3 not rating MEA yet :-)
Oh btw did some 360 ansel shots and viewed them in my samsung vr headset. WOW wish i could plsy the game at that view its so immersive!!!!

Hopped back into SP some this morning - my first session post patch. It seems to improve quite a few of the NPC interactions so far. Still not sure how they didn't get this right to begin with though - I mean what did it take from launch - 10-14 days to get the animations patched? I can see 'unknown bugs' as something that would be unforeseen prior to launch, but still kind of shake my head at how the whole 'crazy face / crazy eyes' thing didn't get corrected.

Was browsing through the wikipedia history of the ME releases an noticed is seems like development took 3 yrs and 2 yrs respectively between each release, and then a 5 year gap between ME3 and MEA. What the heck took 5 years? I mean, the setting isn't really that different - some new skins and paint jobs, but c'mon... this isn't like they had to build this game from the ground up.


As for implementing Frostbite, it looks like there was only a 3 year gap between DA2 and DAI, so not sure that was the reason.

Either Bioware has too many field commanders and not enough soldiers , or just the opposite, the inmates completely run the asylum. rolleyes.gif

Well, it had years of development and supposedly lots of time for bug testing. Games should release in a complete and ready state, which used to be the case but not anymore. Never forget this though, such bugginess is inexcusable.

Uhhh, lol. They more than likely did have to build the game from the ground up. Those are new textures and meshes being used.

Plus the fact that it is an entirely new engine means most of it had to be built from the ground up. 5 years for such an endeavor when they have other projects as well is not alarming.

Exactly. Though I do wonder how some of these bugs made it live...

I mean it's very obvious that the animations and faces either were not complete or were a slap-dash job.

I'm so disappointed with the game currently. don't get me wrong I love it when it works but it's gotten to the point where I'm 50 hours in and I can play it anymore post patch because I keep getting a directx error. just to head some of y'all off I've tried to increase page file size but that only seemed to make things worse. I guess I'll just have to wait and finish the game when the next patch comes out and it gets fixed hopefully. sigh

I thought that the reason for the facial animation issues had been explained enough- they automated it and didn't QA the results. That's both the simple explanation and completely how megacorps run, the fewest number of skilled (read: expensive) staff and as much automation as possible.
