Acendants can be annoying and I've certainly had that happen before...but what I find more annoying is when other players follow you around, when you're a vanguard and body hug you...vanguards need to get out of dodge quick when things go sideways...and having someone block your retreat path because they figure they're gonna try to mimic the vanguard player...makes things awful.

What's worse is you don't have a type chat to tell them to stop hugging you.
There's been points where when dealing with an over zealous player who's not also playing a Vanguard where I've sat there and watch an Observer nearly kill them, making sure they knew I sat there and did nothing, hoping that they got the message: Don't hug my damn bumper!

I had such a deja vu today smile.gif. I got Voeld 100% in one day with a few side quests left and I appreciated the straightforward approach it has. Go to a, kill all, go to b, kill all, go to c, kill all, no questions, no need for a plot or anything. What I found familiar was the architect encounter. Ignoring the fact that a biotic will take ages to kill one, it reminded me of DA:I where most areas had a Dragon to Kill at the end. So these architects are actually Andromeda Dragons!! They fly as well, don't they? biggrin.gif

Except it's not a requirement, fortunately biggrin.gif. Even with tactical cloak and a Black Widow, my squad mates went down constantly and I just couldn't make it to the end, I had to come back to the Voeld Architect after unlocking some more passives.

About ascendants... Yeah they're dangerous and tough, but least they don't rush you as quickly as Banshees or Praetorians do.

Yeah the multiplayer definitely needs a text chat.

Really hating fighting the architects with the keystone cops (teammates) because they are no help at all. Only thing they do is stay up under my ass drawing more concentrated fire my way!

You can just order them to stay still behind any cover/location and let them go ham while you change spots

Not a good idea vs an Architect, they'll hold ground and die pretty fast.

The best bet is to treat them as a bad distraction carnifex. Cycle away from the Architect so your squaddies grab aggro, then sweep back in and finish the job.

Funny how my crew never dies. If you order them to attack certain parts they will stay in cover and attack. I could see them dropping from random stuff on maybe the hardest difficulty just due to the raw damage output. I think peebee went down one time for me on the first one I encountered on Eos when I accidentally told her to move to it instead of attack it.

Lucky you, Peebee dies all the time for me, Drax rarely goes down, however.

Never had a problem personally just having them run with me in my playthrough seeing as the architects only ever targeted me really. Guess it depends on whoever's playing?
